Oh man I'm pumped, it's going to be sunny and in the upper 60's this weekend so I'm planning on giving the ole pop up a good cleaning and restocking. I'm sure once I get into it I'll also perform a little maintenance to make sure everything continues to operate properly. I'm sure lots of memories of wonderful past camping trips will come back to mind once I get started and that's always a good thing.

Have to agree with you about the memories - the first time that you open up the camper after a winter is always special; that first step inside always brings happy memories to mind along with the anticipation of making more wonderful memories in the upcoming season.

We're supposed to be in the 50's on Sunday; don't think we'll pop up because it's still blocked in with snow:yikes:  We did open it up sometime in January (my son needed a straw hat for a school costume :sombraro:; my big sun hat stays in the camper over the winter).  It was a sunny and relatively warm day; DH & I sat in there and just reminisced for a while.  It made me happy just being in there because there's such wonderful memories.

Happy to say there was no wintertime leakage (or mice, etc.) hopefully all will still be secure when we open it next - our first shore trip is the last weekend in April so we will be opening up soon...this seemed like a longer winter than usual!

Happy Spring Everyone!  Enjoy!

I have already started the spring "wakeup" call on our TT. Last week, I started pulling up the carpet around the queen bed and will remove the vinyl flooring through out. Will install flooring that matches the new galley cabinets and bed base that I made last year. A new set of 4 tires is on order and will repack wheel bearings. Flush water system, restock, charge battery and wash outsides and she'll be ready to go...

This winter, we have spent more time inside than we ever have because of the colder weather. Thank goodness our hobbies and home workshops kept us from going completely nuts. Wife sews, and also teaches quilting and embroidery. I stayed busy in my workshop [when it was'nt too cold] restoring old woodworking machinery and antique furniture, some that I find in our travels.

Later this month, we will start the season with a three day weekend trip to a local state park and then take a longer trip in April.
Can't wait for those peaceful :sombraro::sombraro:outdoor evenings and the Hour Of Happiness by the fire....

I've always wanted to do woodworking and refinish antiques. I've dabbled at wood working, especially when I had my boat. I'm just not very good at it. I think that one must have a bit of an artist in them. I can't even draw stick-man....:o

4Campers

I'm ready for spring too. We just did a weekend trip to Indy to visit the CampingWorld Superstore. Found a Gander Mountain across from the hotel as a bonus. Picked up the yearly supplies of stuff and some cleaners. Warmer temps and melting snow has me geared up to open the pup!
