Palomino question

This may sound like a really stupid question, but the owner's manual is of no help. We just bought a NTU 1989 Palomino Pinto, and I am wondering how (or if) the canvas is attached to the box. With our old PUP, you had to go around and secure the canvas to the box, but with this new one it doesn't appear to do that.

The folks that we bought it from did not have time today to help us set-up so it has been a trial by fire, so to speak. The owner's manual is just a generic type (not model specific) and they don't mention a darn thing about what to do once you have the roof raised, the beds extended and the door in place.

Thanks all!

We have owned a 1995 Palomino and a 2005 Palomino.  Both had the bunk ends permanently attached on the far ends of each bunk.  The sides are Velcroed on the newer one, and I think there were snaps on the older one.

Palomino uses a double flap system.  One set of flaps goes on top the bunk deck, under the mattress.  The outer flaps go under the bunk deck on the outside of the bunk.  We sometimes don't bother with the inner flaps, like when we're doing overnighters.  The double flap system is great for making sure little kids don't slip through the sides of the bunk.  There is no bungy cord like on some other brands.

Having the canvas permanently attached is great because it really helps protect the bunks if it's raining, and also keeps any crud that might be on top the bunk canvas from falling into the bunks when the trailer is taken down.

We had an '85 Palomino Colt. Great trailer, great memories.

I don't believe anything was permanently attached, except at the tops (of course). There was a C-channel that a flap had to slide into, all the way around. Even the bunks needed setup and bungees pulled under the beds.

Congrats on the NTU trailer. Ours was well-built it seemed.

Thank you both for responding, but I guess I should have been more clear, lol. We don't have an issue with the bunk-ends, my question was about attaching the tenting to the box. I can see where there are 2 flaps, and on our old camper we had to insert the bottom of the canvas into the "channel" and it was secured with built-in clips. In this camper, there are no clips and it does not appear to be able to fit into the "channel"...or if it does, it will not stay put, lol. I did notice, however, that the tenting was very taught so I was thinking that there was no need to secure it to the box. There are two snaps where the door is, but that is it as far as securing the material to the box.

I know this sounds really dumb asking this question, but I would hate to screw up our new camper because we didn't set it up correctly. I will probably be calling the former owners on Saturday just to make sure, lol :p.
