Hanging storage solution

We gave up trying to salvage the '96 Key West, sold it and replaced it with a '05 Fleetwood Rushmore. We are planning our first trip next week to St. Augustine. Before that, we'd like to do a little modifying. The first thing we'd like to do is add some hanging storage, especially around the galley area. My big concern is how to install the eye straps without going all the way through the roof. Would some self-tapping screws do the trick? Should I install some anchors? If so, what kind? I don't want to poke holes in the roof (we just sold a roofing disaster), but I don't want the storage falling down and ripping out sections of the ceiling, either.

Thanks.

Maybe a post from side to side of the ceiling? I would not drill any holes in the ceiling/roof, that is asking for trouble. Our pup has two support bars on the ceiling to support the weight of the A/C that I've used for hanging things.

Thanks Mike and yes check out my mods page below for how I installed my shelves. I also show you how to install the anchors. just remember to use common sense on how much weight you put on the shelf.
good luck :sombraro:

I used 3/4" screws with plastic butterfly anchors and D-rings, all purchased at hardware store.

Lasted 6 years - just sold camper this week, and they looked like new - no strain.  Held up pots & pans for years.

we had a Palomino.
