Ronald McDonald House Fundraiser

On Sunday, April 11th the Kutz's are going to be participating in the Orange County Ronald McDonald House WALK FOR KIDS! It's a 5K Walk taking place at Honda Center in Anaheim.  100% of the proceeds raised will go directly to the Orange County Ronald McDonald House to benefit the children and families using their wonderful services. When Sarah was 2 months old, she spent 1 1/2 weeks at CHOC and towards the end of her stay, we were told about the Ronald McDonald House.  DH took the grand tour and was impressed on what it did for the families.  I just wish we were told about it sooner, it would have helped tremedously in keeping our family together during that uncertain, stressful time in our lives.  
 
What I understand is that it is very close to CHOC and every family has their own room with a shared bathroom, kitchen and livingroom.  When you have a sick child, you want to stay as close as you can with them and yet still get the support of other family members.
 
This is an awesome cause.  
 
We've done the CHOC walk which benefilts CHOC hospital.

Ronald McDonald House is an awesome charity.  When we lived in Orange County our Girl Scout troop did volunteer work at the Ronald McDonald house in Idyllwild.  What an amazing facility for children with cancer and their families.  It gave them a chance to do fun activities with their families at no cost.  Plus they were able to get there chemo treatments and any other cancer treatment at the facility while they were "camping out".
