Hello all.    A couple of questions.

First - My co detector which is wired not battery goes off for no apparent reason.  Interestingly (and thankfully) this happens during the day - not night.  Any ideas?   Replacement suggestions?   I know that it needs to be reset after disconnection from 110 or battery but that does not fix it.

Second - I need to replace the cheap faucet in the sink.   Anybody have a suggestion on what to replace with?  It is a fold down galley so height is an issue.

thanks.

Matt

Hi Matt,

If your trailer is fairly new, there are fumes that may be released during the heating of the day that might set off the detector. Some of those things are more sensitive than others.

Some here have replaced their fold down galley faucets with "Wet Bar" faucets found at HomeDepot etc. Some of those faucets are quite high but the spout is easily removed.

This one is $49 (Incl S&H) and it's 13" high.

Some of the simple faucets intended for basement laundry tubs are very short and compact - they might work, and they probaly are in a different area of your local Home Improvement store's plumbing dept AWAY from the fancy chrome ones for home  bathrooms and kitchens.  Ask about them - they might be near the exterior hose bibs, or regular plumbing supplies.

Another idea would be to look for a household kitchen faucet that has a hand-held hose and sprayer for  the nozzle - assembled, it might be bit high, but if you can pull the hose out for transport, you might be able to reduce it's height enough to fit when your Galley is flipped over for travel.  And that hose/ nozzle arrangement could be REALLY handy when trying to wash dishes in a tiny camper sink!

Thanks for the thoughtful responses.  Sounds like a measuring tape and a trip to the depot are in order.
