PopupnutHelp you with what?  Pouring the shots or drinking them?!??

 You rock!!!

 Happy B-day!

NightOwl

PopupnutBeth, you have nothing to worry about--it doesnt matter how old your bod is if the spirit inside it is still young and enjoying life and young at heart  .  (That s YOU!)

Also, as you reach 50 and beyond, you will find it will help if you deliberately set yourself a  goal of doing ONE special thing to enrich YOURSELF during the coming year.  Then, when the next birthday arrives, you can look back and  pat yourself on the back for your accomplishment--being wiser (or thinner) or more informed or having more fun.  Some of the things I have done: made some interesting new friends,  learned to do mosaics, learned to do primitive woolen rug hooking; for birthday 50: went hot-air ballooning with DH, cut my time-distance ratio on the treadmill, went whitewater rafting with DH (when I turned 60) discovered new places.--etc etc.  Now I am into making beaded art dolls.

Somebody wise once said:  " Life is not a dress rehearsal"   Make every day count  and  you ll be too busy enjoying life to notice the pages of the calendar as they turn.

AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you and Linda Jones and all our other February babies!!!!

PopupnutDo what I did!  Spend your 40th birthday in Maui watching a beautiful sunset!
It was great, I might just have to spend every birthday there now!

 PopupnutArrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhh,

I remembered my 40 th birthday ! It was a blast. We stayed at a marriott at 9 th street IIRC in Washington DC , one of their high floors. We visited white house, the senate building, the weather was so nice. Than had a fantastic dinner (with the kids of course, they got whatever they wanted) I had a 16 Oz steak, yum yum yum, and wifey a Salmon based thingie. Then we went up to our room, and I had a few glasses of Chivas Regal while looking at the city s lights, the view was fantastic.

Next day we visited the aerospace museum and decided that we didn t have enough of the hotel s restaurant s food, and repeated the performance. It was such a nice way to celebrate 40 th year , we will never forget it.

So, do something you will remember and share it with your friends and family.

Happy many retuns by the way :)

birolI had to add to this to let you all know that DH threw a surprise B-day party for me over the weekend - one of our friends has a large utility barn with a heated floor and enough space to fit numerous people and he cleared it out for the party - cleaned it up beautifully and DH hired a DJ and a caterer - what a BLAST!!!!  We danced the night away - it was just so much fun to be surrounded by friends and family.
To top it all off and to make me put my waterproof mascara to the test - he had my oldest brother fly in from Colorado for the occasion!!!
I had no idea - I was convinced that we were having a party next month - because this month was so busy and that we were headed off to a surprise wedding anniversary party!!!!
 What a guy!!!!
Thanks for all of your kind words and support - I feel so much better about this age (#) however, I was a wee bit sore from all the dancing the night away - just a physical reminder I m really not 20 anymore!!!  That s okay with me!
