awdjrI don t think (this is a very qualified thought) you should try to tow a Bantam 19  with your minivan. Frontal area will be bigger than allowed for in your minivan, GVWR of 19  is 3,750 Lbs (Yup, know it off the top of my head). Simply too big, to heavy.

Reason I can tell you all this : Because I WAS thinking of doing the same (When I had a job), and all the calculations I looked at, and the baseball bats the nice people of this forum broke on my head explaining it to me made me realize that, it would not work.

Now if you insist, we can explain this in more detail :)

I think, with a minivan, the best one can safely tow is a 3,000 LBS Gvwr PU. There are a few here whose names we won t mention ([:D][:D][:D]) who tow 3,500 LBS GVWR PU s, but they should not :):):).

I am sure the Tow Guide guru s will fill you in, or better, in the general forum, search for " tow"  and you will have all the answers.

awdjrThere are 2 yahoo e-groups you might be interested in looking at or talking to.

The HybridRV has a database where we listed what kind of hybrid and tow vehicle we have.  You might scan the database.  You may have to join the e-group, but it is wasy to unsubscribe if you are not interested.

Traillite owners also have their own e-group on yahoo.  You have to be accepted, as many of the e-groups ahve been foced to do with all the spammers out there.
These people are happy to answer any questions you might have about towing a bantam. This group has owner of all trailite products.

I have a Bantam B-21, itis comparable in weight to a Colman Niagra.  It has drag on it that a popup would not have.  If I had the $$ I would upgrade to a v8 SUV or quadcab. The F150 regualr cab/short bed is about the smallest I would go. In some cases bigger is beter.
