 Cudaman,

I have a 2002 Model 2720.  I traded from a Coleman Niagara, and my switch was guided by my diagnosis of arthritis in both of my shoulders (so cranking became a chore), and I wanted the added security of a Travel Trailer for longer distance trips.  We took possession of ours the Thursday before Labor Day and have taken it out 4 times since then.  Here are what I like and dislike about mine:

What I like:  Obviously as stated, it is much more secure than a P-UP.  It is truly quite easy to set up (with qualification see below). I love the toilet and the fact that I can use it without sitting (or standing) in the shower.  I love the oven that is installed, and the amount of storage that it has.  It tows SO MUCH EASIER than my Coleman, as long as you use a WDH, (mainly because it weighs less) but more importantly...NO SWAY.  It is much more insulated and therefore it is warmer when cold, cooler when hot and always much QUIETER inside, (I used to have to use ear plugs in the Pop-UP). I like that I can raise and lower the awning without a ladder if I forget to do it when setting up.  It is easier to carry extra items as the floor space forward of the bathroom is always open. Finally I like all of the appliances can be started (water heater, fridge, etc.) from inside the trailer, and I no longer have to get out on cold mornings to re-light pilots etc.

What I dislike: It is tiring to crank down the leveling jacks (almost as bad ad the Coleman), but with a 3/8"  allen wrench and a cordless drill driver it is quick work. There is less floor space for walking to the bedroom (as opposed to the Niagara).
You still have to get down on your knees to get items  from the lower cabinets. The toilet being a recirculationg type only hold about 7 gals. It would be nice if it had a standard rv type flush toilet with a larger holding tank.

All in all I love my TM, I will keep it for a long time and it will accompany me across country this summer.  If I had it do all over again, I would have bought the 2720SL only beacuse there are only the 2 of us and we really don t need the front bed, so a couch would have been nice.

Hope this helps.  There are many TM owners here, that will add to what I have said.  If you look at my website link you can look at mine and check though to other TM sites if you wish.
