Well, I admit I am surprised.  I got the renewal in the mail this week for the license tag on the pop up.  Threw it on my desk and now I can t find it.

I went to the [link=http://mva.state.md.us/default.htm]Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration Web Page[/link] to see what I needed to take to the MVA to renew it.

Wow, government with a web store!  In two minutes I had paid my $13.50 and even was able to print a registration.

What will they think of next[:D]

tim5055Tim I thought the same thing when my drivers license renewal came.  I sat down and logged on to the states website.  Found the info I needed, tried to submit the info and wham, it kicked me back to the submit page.  4 years ago when I got my last license the state had my social security number wrong.  I showed them my card and I thought it was corrected.  Key word was thought.  So on top of having to fill out the license application I had copy my social security card, find/print and fill out a change of information form and then write a short note telling them that this information was supposed to be corrected 4 years ago.  Then I had to write a check and address an envelope add a stamp and make a trip by a mail box [&:]

 tim5055Tim & Tracey --

I wonder if you have checked the possibility of getting a " permanent"  tag.

I have a tag which I don t have to renew each year for a one time inexpensive time.

If you see " MYCAVE" , you ll know " CAVMAN"  is nearby.

tim5055Did you have to pay a " convenience"  fee ?

tim5055Minnesota has renewals online now also. I just tried it last week for my boat trailer and the PU.

I believe Minnesota has gone to a permanent licenses on all trailer except  RV s so we still have to pay for our PU every year. But my other trailers will now have permanent tabs.

There was no extra fees here, unless you use a credit card then they charge a small fee, but they did bank transfers with no fee.

 birolbirol,

Is this question for real ?

Did you have to pay a " convenience"  fee ?

tim5055PA doesn t offer a permamemt tag.[:(]  It was my drivers licence that I had trouble renewing online.

I did my PU registration on line and it worked.  Received my sticker for my licence plate 2 days later.

whitestar505When you renew your license plate by using the government provided kiosks(ATM like machines)  at malls or certain public places, you pay a 1 C$ convenience fee.  We do not have the capability to renew them online in Ontario yet.

tim5055in missouri you can get a 3 year plate but it costs as much as it would have you gotten one every year. Same thing on our car plates every 2 years though.

tim5055I thought you were going to tell us that the government had bought stock in plastic sheet & duct tape companies (before they told us to buy & use the stuff for this past weekend)  and were putting the profits into the Social Security fund! LOL

In NJ, you can renew and pay almost everything via the internet. Hey, how about sending a cyber IOU for any owed taxes this year? I " promise"  to pay........eventually! [:o][;)][:(]
