4th of July - Serrano Campground Big Bear UPDATE!!!

We just got back from a great campout at Serrano--what a fantastic location and just a short walk to the beach for fishing, swimming, rafting and fireworks.  There are some nice trails close by for biking and hiking.  The bathrooms were clean and showers were free.  We had a gorgeous view of the lake from our campsite.  We even managed to last for 5 days without hookups.  Small world--we ran into Brian and Heather (Crowbar 4) in town and they came by for a visit to our campsite.  We camped with 58Air, my nephew and brother, and some non-ScCampers tent camping friends--so we indulged in some yummy potlucks as usual. Traffic was not a problem (2-1/2 hours each way from the San Fernando Valley).  We will definitely be returning to Serrano.

Hey Dave--We missed you!  We decided that the reason why we didn't play any poker at Serrano was because our fearless poker leader wasn't with us!  We'll be ready for some poker at San Mateo
