Dihydrogen Monoxide is an insidious chemical that is tasteless, colorless, and odorless, yet kills hundreds of Americans each year.  A move is under way to get this deadly substance out of our homes and off of our tables.  You can help!  To learn more, follow these links:

[Link=http://www.dhmo.org/]Dihydrogen Monoxide Research Division - dihydrogen monoxide info[/link]

[Link=http://www.worldnewsstand.net/03/SR/1-3.htm]World Newsstand Special report on DHMO[/link]

A google search for " Dihydrogen Monoxide"  will turn up hundreds of other web sites.  For those who feel they need to see both sides of the issue, here is a Dihydrogen Monoxide site that is in opposition to the ban on Dihydrogen Monoxide.  It is interesting to note that it is sponsored by the Scorched Earth Party.

With your help, we can stop the spread of this killer.

For those who think this is off topic, rest assured large quantities of Dihydrogen Monoxide has ruined many a camping trip.

 Thank you for your support.

AustinBostonWell, I m all for banning it on weekends and maybe confining it to night time only! It hasn t " ruined"  any of our camping trips but it certainly has " dampened"  them!

Acts 2:38 girl

AustinBostonI totally don t get it!!  I went throught the web site, and it seemed serious enough, but what s this about " spilling the beans"  and " dampened"  camping nights? Have I spent to many years bleaching my hair??!![:D]

AustinBostonI just emailed you Acts 2:38 Girl!

AustinBostonDid the company that makes this chemical lose it s patent rights to make it  and now want to get it banned in the United States so we have to buy products that have thier replacement chenical in it. Because they got a new patent for it. As dupont did with it s cfc refrigerants.  So now we have to buy new refrigerants and the US is the only country in teh world to ban them. I think this is a case of more corperate profits more then anything else.

 You can laugh now.LOL

AustinBostonI favor methyl carbonol myself. At least that s what my old high school used to put on the label in the chem lab to keep students from drinking it.
 methyl carbonol = CH3 + CH2OH = C2H5OH = Ethanol.

AustinBostonA few more facts about Dihydrogen Monoxide:

 * It can be found in all grey water and black water
 * It is legal (yes, legal) to dump dihydrogen monoxide in our lakes, streams, rivers, and oceans.
 * It s presence has been detected in significant quantities in the upper atmosphere

Oh, and Abe Lincon was right.  You can fool some of the people all of the time.

AustinBostonI don t understand why we should ban this substance, it looks like a good substance to have around.

I say lets keep it and enjoy it [8D][8D][8D][8D][8D]

 AustinBostonHey,
I work in the Dihydrogen Monoxide business, although we also like to call it Hydrogen Hydroxide, so if you ban this substance, you ll put me out of work and my three kids out on the street.  Do you want to be responsible for that!  Huh, do you?

birol

AustinBostonI am known to mix Dihydrogen Monoxide (Shees, I can t spell it had to copy and paste), with Ouzo and and ice and enjoy it, it is a very nice poison as well [8D][8D][8D]

AustinBostonBanning DHMO will be catastrophic to the agriculture industry. It s a substance that the crops have become dependent upon.
