Camping Coxes

GuestThis place looks great.  We ll just be starting softball season the first part of March, so I ll have to see if we have a bye that weekend (which I won t know until the end of February) and see if we can slide into a spot at the last minute.  But it s a great place to keep in the file for future trips!

Cottonwooder

GuestWow, those photos look great!  We re interested, but not definite yet.  Gotta check the calendar.  Are we all booking our own individual sites directly with the campground, or through you?  And when is our deadline?

oldmoose

GuestPatricia, I booked mine directly. The phone number is listed above. When you hear the recording, hit " 0"  to go to reservations.

 GuestHollypop--

We are in!  We booked site no. 15, a pull through site and next door to the DO king and queen, we re always looking for some more handy hints!

Sounds like a fun rally.  Thanks for getting it started.

GuestThis is great!  So far we have sites 15-19 booked, leaving 14- which is a pull through site with multiple hookups if somebody wants to camp with a buddy, and sites 20-26, all of which are nice.

It seems strange to book these so far in advance but this place is already filling up. I booked several trips far in advance this year and when the time finally came to camp I was grateful to have made the reservations.

GuestThat weeekend is my stepson s 18th birthday--a big one for him, and unfortunately, he s not a camper (takes after his mother...) so we will have to miss this one.  [:(]

 btw, flip! [:D]

QuoteI don t know how to do that cool box in box thing that shows the text from a previous post so you can reply (does this make ANY sense?)

Hollypop, Makes sense to me...all you have to do is highlight the text and then hit the reply button.  Sounds like a fun weekend.  I ll check into a reservation tomorrow.

You can also go to the post to which you want to reply, click on the button that looks like a piece of paper with a blue " return"  arrow and then when the PUT post box comes up, click on the " Quote the orginal message"  button and it will automatically insert the text of the post to which you are replying!  GuestI have to check the dates but I think we re a yes.. I will call and book it I have a credit for camping there.

Cstars

griffsmomWe just signed up for site 20.  We ve driven through this park before but haven t stayed there.  It is very nice but very hot (100 degrees or more) in the summer.  I guess that s why the water park is so nice.  Another good time to visit this park (according to my parents who live in Yucaipa) is around this time of year.  The weather is in the high 70 s and the Apple Festival is getting started at Oak Glen.  When I made my reservation, I asked how far in advance we can make reservations and the answer is one year.  What do you all think about going ahead and planning a second rally too at this same park for the beginning of Oct. 2004?  If there s enough interest, we should decide on a weekend and make reservations soon since this is a busy time of year for them.  Again the water park won t be open but Oak Glen is fun.

griffsmomGlad to hear you ve signed up for site 20.  I think a fall rally is a great idea!  There s a terrific pumpkin patch at the Live Oak Canyon exit off the 10, between Yucaipa and Redlands.

griffsmomwell not sure yet...that looks like Open House night  and DS doesn t want to miss it...

griffsmomHow about if we plan a fall 2004 (omg!) rally the weekend of October 15-17? Can t make reservations until after the Temecula rally but like Cstars said probably a good idea to plan ahead! Then again, we may have so much fun at VLR that we decide to return there for another fall rally.

griffsmomHey, y all!  Long time no see!  I think we re in for this one.  I ll call tomorrow and see what s still available.  Haven t had time to read through it all and figure it out.  Any recommendations as to which site we should request?

I miss you all[:(].  We didn t get time to do any camping the whole summer after the Gold Rush Rally, then we did our traditional Kern River trip at the end of Sept and have 2 more trips planned this fall, one to Lake Buena Vista this month on the 24-25th and one to Vail Lake Nov. 7-8! (Can t take the scary Halloween stuff, which is why we can t make it when you will be there next weekend.)  Unfortunately, that will probably be it until Spring for us.  I don t know that I can make plans for either the Thanksgiving rally or the New Years at Cachuma (due to our traditional New Year s Eve open house!) unless it s really last-minute.   But we do think of you all very often and can t wait to camp together again!

Moose:  Guess what!  Erik (and David) joined the Boy Scouts! [:)] He s so excited.  I credit you and Moosette and all the talking it up you did.

Looking forward to a long winter before we see you again....[:(]

oldmoose

griffsmomTracy I m glad he joined. They ll both have a lot of fun and learn a lot. When the boys know he knows how to use a Dutch oven, he ll be popular.

OC Campers

griffsmomHey Moose, we just signed up Chris for Cub Scouts too.  I think he will be a Wolf.
He is really looking forward to it.  He has seen how much fun Kendra has had in her Girl Scout troop and now he wants to be a part of the fun too.
