I'm glad that everyone had a great time.  I kept thinking about all of you this weekend.  You  know things like "Hmmm...it's 6:00; everyone must be getting ready for the potluck" or after I put Griffin to bed, I thought "Bet everyone's enjoying the bonfire at Dee's right about now....sigh"  Even Griffin kept saying "Mommy, Maffew tamping dis weekend?" (Me: "Yes sweetie, Matthew is camping this weekend.") Griffin: "I not tamping dis weekend.  Po' Gwiffin" The kid cracks me up!  :J

It's unfortunate that the kids got a bit wound up and disturbed other campers, but kids will be kids too.  It's a shame that the lady behind you, Randy, chose to talk to the Ranger instead of just saying something to someone in the group.  I feel we're a pretty approachable group, and I always appreciate someone letting me know if my monkey is up to something he shouldn't be (and he always is!!!)   In any event, it's neat how all of our kids have become camping buddies!

We're sorry to have missed the rally due to circumstances beyond our control. I thought of all of you having a great time. What's this about Dutch Oven 201? Aren't you guys ever satisfied? I suppose you want me to do a Crown Roast or something.

Even with the circumstances that we were up north for, we did have fun with family. We stayed with one of our sons in Walnut Creek. Saturday he and I put in 6 hours of yard work. We both got a little sunburned, but no pain. I was "forced" to take he and his fiance to sushi as payment for the lodging. I really hate that kind of payment!

We are looking forward to Pismo and visiting with all of you again.

Thats a bummer we got a complaint. I was the closest to the action and the Rangers didn't say anything to me. I had mentioned to the kids twice about staying out of the bathrooms and play on the grass , but kids have amnesia and forget in 2 milli seconds what you just told them. Kevin went in and watched a movie with Kara while everyone was getting wet,so I really wasn't aware of the scooters etc, I just know everything was getting all wet.
The kids musta had a lot of pent up enrgy that weekend..we had problems with breaking open glowsticks also...Kids! whatta we gonna do with 'em

I finally got around to posting my photos from the rally. For some reason my camera developed a problem where it puts a horizontal line in every shot, but they're still work takin' a look!
