.... just thought I d stir something up on a Monday to keep things interesting.  Can you pull a pop-up with a You-gooooo?

Gamecock CamperI saw a Lada 4*4, it slowly skidded at 5 km s an hour, hit the curb and flipped over. It was so much fun watching it and seeing the unexpected.

Now if the Yugo s are built the same, one can always tow a 12"  pop-up (INCH for those who are visually imparied and see a feet instead of inches)  :):):)

Gamecock CamperActually, it can be done. A couple months ago, I saw a guy pulling a  67 Heilite soft-top pop-up with a  86 Subaru " Sport" , which is about the same size as an old Honda Civic. Granted, this type of pop-up only weighs about 500 lbs. Wonder how a Yugo would pull something that size?

If not, I guess you could always soup up the Yugo a bit and add a HEMI, right? Or will they only fit in Gremlin s and Geo s? [;)]

Gamecock CamperFYI, the Yugo is in fact made from tooling bought from Fiat, that they used to make the 1969 Fiat. Since the tooling and machines were worn out long before Fiat sold it to Yugoslovia and the  69 Fiat was nothing to write home about in 1969, you can imagine the quality of the Yugo.

I remember when it was first introduced in our area. The dealer had one demo, that didn t have seat cushions just couch cushions a salesman had brought from home. The seats arrived about a month later.[:D]

Gamecock CamperHey.... didn t FIAT stand for " Fix it again, Tony" ?

Gamecock CamperThe answer here is very clear and obvious. How do you expect to pull a PU with a Yugo when the Yugo can t even pull itself? Now, pulling a Yugo with a PU is much more practical.[8D][8D]

Gamecock CamperNow your talking.  We just have to figure out a way to motorize the popup..... then we won t even need the You-go

wapiti

Gamecock CamperActually, I believe the Yugo was orginally intended to pull light artillery peices and replace the fleet of undernourished, 17 year-old, lame horses with one missing eye.

So if you want to camp at the end of the block on your neighbor s lawn, it should meet your needs just fine.[;)]

I saw a Honda Civic w/a hitch on it & kinda wondered!......

Gamecock Camper

Gamecock CamperYea, they were disposible.  I think they were like a cigarette lighter.... once they run out of fuel, you are supposed to throw them away.  LOL

 Gamecock CamperA Yugo???
Are those like.....(are you ready and do you remember?) ... dun dun daaa..A Pacer!!!
Remember the fishbowl with wheels? John Denver drove one in the  movie " Oh God!" . A truly hideous car. Snicker,he he!  I was glad I had my Pinto back then.(Had the gas tank fixed so it wouldn t blow up!) Oh well...[:D]

Interesting to note.... There are no " whole Yugos"   currently for auction on Ebay.  Lots of parts... no complete cars.  Maybe that tells you something!!

The Pacer. . .maybe the Yugo . . .or maybe it was the lavender blue Gremlin my dad bought one year thinking it would be good to drive back and forth to the train station in.   Small but easily seen.
