On October 17th my 10 year old son Alex was diagnosed with leukemia. I can't tell you what this kind of news does to a parent let alone a 10 year old boy. But God is good and many prayers have been answered. Instead of trying to fill you all in here, friends of ours have started a website for Alex and you can visit the site to learn aboutthe progress that Alex is making. There is also a guestbook there where you can post messages and read the messages of others. Our church sent Alex a map of the U.S. so he can keep track of where he has people praying for him and we have found that we actually need a world map. He has recieved messages from all overe the U.S. and also from Australia, Saudi Arabia, England and Africa. Please keep us in your prayers and know that Alex is working very hard to beat this temporary interruption. By the way my name is Kell, my wife's name is Mary and my oldest son is Taylor. You know me best as CajunCamper. Thanks.  The website is //www.caringbridge.org/la/alexjohnson

I am so sorry to hear about your son.  You are in a great area for treatment, being so close to Saint Jude in Memphis.  My DH is a pediatric hem/onc Dr. that did his fellowship at St. Jude.  If you have any questions, I know thatDr.DH would be happy to answer any and all.  Treatment is so successful these days thanks to all the research going on around the country.  You will learn so much about your child, yourself, and your family.  We wish you and Alex the best, and all will be in my prayers.

Kell, Mary, Alex, and Taylor... I can't imagine the feelings that must go through you all hearing a doctor say these words.  We're lucky to live in the times we do though with all the advances in the Leukemia treatments.

Alex, I'm going to your website to read all about you. I've forwarded your information to my father who is a minister in Tennessee.  You can add Virginia and Tennessee to your map!

You are all in our prayers!
