Hi Lori,
I just wanted too check if there is space left for Temecula?? I sent you a couple of emails, but no response and then noticed on the boards you have been quite busy. When you get a chance could you let me know if any spots are left....We would love too get too meet you all.

Thanks so much,
Deborah

Hi Deborah,

Yes, there are still plenty of spaces left for the Temecula trip.  I will be turning my attention to getting caught up with everyone this week. Sorry I haven't been able to get back to you (and everyone else who has also expressed an interest in this rally) as quickly as I would have liked.  Work and even life in general had completely imploded on me the last few weeks but I think I'll start to see the light at the end of the tunnel this week.

Also, Pastor Dustin, before you leave on vacation, can you let me know if you are taking Jacqui's site or would you like a different one?

Thanks for your patience with me! :)

Lori, glad to hear you are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.  We can relate!!!!  Please reserve space 170 for us.  We took a road trip last weekend and what a beautiful place.

Thanks

If site 169 is still available that would be our first choice since it looks like there's no one around it for me to run into as I'm backing up the trailer!!  Our next choices in order of preference are: 168, 129, 126, 137, or 130.  I'll wait for you to email me with your address so I can mail you the check.  By the way, how do I register to get a "real" name for this posting site?

I looked in the f.a.q section , I believe you go to the log-on and register as a new member its free. you just won't have access to the "membership" section of the board.  hope that helps. I know Lori has been sooper dooper busy and hasn't had a chance to update the sites (sending stress removing hugs to you Lori :p ) my friends said they mailed Lori their check for 168 & 169. so I'm not sure if they're available. We will be updated soon :D

Thanks for the stress hugs, Dee!! Things should lighten up for me within the next month or two. Thank you, everyone, for your patience, and please don't give up on me!!! :)

I have received a number of e-mails from others who have found SCCampers or this site and I have (finally!) e-mailed you backa reply. I hope that you will all be able to join us!

Final payment for all sites must be made to VLR on September 30th. I will be releasing any sites not already reserved and paid for by that date. If you or friends of yours want to attend this rally, it would be wise to make and pay for your sites as soon as you can. :) One other thought...as we near the final payment day, if we have not sold out on sites, we may want to rethink which sites we have each chosen, since we're a bit spread out at the moment. Of course, that's only if you want to be in close proximity with the group...:yikes:

Finally, don't forget to check the rally Web site for additional details: http://www.sccampers.org/halloween2004/index.html

Quote from: HoosierpopHey kids, Been awhile since I've logged on, much to my surprise you're planning t-shirts for October. Why wait for tomorrow, eh. Anyhow, I'm the one that came up with last year's design. I can fiddle with it after we get back from our Florida vacation. If black is too hot, I suggest grey, maybe a light faded purple. Thoughts? To keep the cost down maybe the same image as last year only on the front with type changes that reflect the second annual event.
The question of the t-shirt situation has come up.  I don't know what the status is at this point--especially with the flindersfamily possible relocation plans.  Hoosier/Hollypop: are you guys planning on coming to the rally?  It would be wonderful if you were willing to take this on again.  Anyone else who would like to offer up their services is welcome too.  :)

Also, the other question I have been asked is whether we would like to have a theme for the potluck.  We have done this in the past, and I think it has been quite successful.  Anyone got any ideas/suggestions/comments?

Dee4j

Nice to hear from you Lori..I'm glad things are a LITTLE less hectic. ooh its almost time to go camping...hmmm a theme I'll have to work on it since its Halloween, all thats coming to mind is mexican or Italian food but thats not creative enough...GEE Scott you're usually the Witty one..I'll wait to see what you come up with :eyecrazy:

mrflinders

Maybe I can shed some light on the T-Shirts. I think that with the flurry of posts that everyone missed my last post on the topic. (See the quote below.) There is t-shirt page on the event web page (again, see the quote below) which will address alot of the questions I have seen posted.

Basically, Since I haven't received any artwork, I created something, and the proposed artwork is posted on the web page. (That's right, the quote below....)

I would like to get the order for the shirts placed by September 17th. That will allow for me to address any mistakes that the printer makes, since I am ordering them from an online company.

The cost will vary, depending on how many shirts are ordered. Last year they ended up being about $12.50 each. With the current amount of shirts shown ordered on the website, the cost would be $13.73 each. However, there seems to be some people who have not sent me their orders who will probably do so, lowering the per-shirt cost for all of us.

I will buy the shirts, and bring them to the rally. Then, I will collect checks or cash as I pass them out to you. No need to pre-pay. This worked well last year.

The artwork is not set in stone. I created it because no one else had something to use. If anyone would like to do a better job and make something really cool, we can change the graphics at any time up to when I place the order.

I encourage everyone to visit the web site at http://www.sccampers.org/halloween2004/sites.html
and check their orders for accuracy. If you have not sent me the number of adults, kids, and t-shirt orders, please do so and I will update the site accordingly.

If I end up relocating and cannot attend the rally, I'll send the shirts to Lori and let her pass them out, if she is willing. However, it is looking as tho you will all be forced to see my face in October - the relocation is looking less and less likely.

Quote from: mrflindersAbout T-Shirts

Well, since no one has really volunteered to create the artwork for the T-Shirts, I took a stab at it and created something simple. If anyone has something better in mind, please let me know. I basically used the artwork from the back of last year's shirt, and made some minor changes to make it work on the Ash-grey shirt. I also created another logo to go onto the front, left breast area.

Take a look here:

http://www.sccampers.org/halloween2004/shirt.htm

The cost of the T-Shirts depends on how many we order. Last year we ordered 25 shirts, and the cost was $12.50 each.

I liked the witch towing the Pop-up so much that I added her to the rear graphic as well. :)

Anyone who wants to order shirts should let me or Lori know if they are not already on the list. ( http://www.sccampers.org/halloween2004/sites.html )

Just in case, I'd better warn you.  I hope you're an early riser.  We're in site 173 and my little one is up with the sun.  Literally.  We're talking 6:00-6:30. :morning:  So if you're a light sleeper and don't want to have a three-year-old who lacks the ability to moderate the loudness of his voice, regardless of the time of day (or night!) then you may want to select a different site.  Otherwise, I say, great!

I don't know if you were able to communicate with Jacqui (rOCklin Campers, nee OC Campers) about the site fees before they moved up north and you went on vacation.  It might be easiest if you want to send me a check for $80.00 and then I'll just refund Jacqui's fees.  E-mail me and I'll send you my address. :)
