Quote from: Dee4jDH won't be going I don't think, I had actually thought about video taping especially since I have to work the night before. I'm hoping there is less to do
I should start jotting down my questions as I think of them.
I hope its not raining when I tow it home. my neighbor has a big 5th wheel maybe I can get him to back it in my driveway if I can't figure it out.
eeek Its sooooo big

don't worry about it...you'll get used to it before ya know it, and in the meantime...there are always people around more than happy to assist

Quote from: darksidersfunny you should say that, Lori...Wes thinks we should "rent" a pop-up, so we can enjoy the experience w/ everyone else. altho, i think pop-ups are very cute and enjoyed looking at them (yes, we were in pop-up territory at the show, i to told him to focus on our new investment, we're not buying/renting anything.

I'm putting my money on Wes.....:J

We met you at lunch on Saturday at the RV show. Thanks for the advice, we bought the Sea Pine and can't wait to pick it up! It really helped to talk to someone that knew the camper...and it was quite fortuitous that you should sit right next to us, so we went with fate! I guess now we just have to research where to go. Happy camping!
Tami & Mike
Tami and Mike,

How exciting!!!  Welcome to the group.  Where do you live?  Lots of people here can give you insight on where to go camping.

Dear Group---Tami and Mike are making the move from backpacking, so please ease them into the joys of RVing.

Hi Tami & Mike!

I am finally getting around to checking the boards again and there you are.  BTW, your names will be extremely easy for Scott and I to remember since Tami is our oldest and Mike is our youngest!  I know you had a baby with you, but don't remember if it was a he or a she.  If you say that it's a girl and her name is Beth, I'll flip!  Anyway, congratulations on your pop-up.  I hope you will hook up with us for one of our rallies where we have endless food and drink, not to mention the most wonderful friends with whom we get to share it all. Welcome to the.... ummmm.... club?!  :D

Congratulations Dee & Dan on your new hybrid. When I walked into the Cub I said aloud to Scott, "I hope D&D go with the other one!" (I couldn't remember the name of it at the time because there were so many.) The cupboards are one thing, but the Wanderer just felt homey to me. Like the Feng Shui was given some thought. The guy at the seminar we went to said to take your RV to an empty parking lot and practice backing up, so I'll pass that on to you. As for the marshmallows and candy.... I know which cupboard they are in, so beware! Have fun!!!!!

We did miss these somehow, since we checked out the teardrop trailers.  I guess we weren't as organized mapwise as Dee was.  They're probably the ones we spotted from the tram as we were being taken back to the parking lot.  I'll have to check it out down at Traveland before we make any decision.  Paul didn't want to have to climb over a dinette to get into bed, which the Wanderer has the dinette, but I told him that at barely 5'4" and shrinking every day, I have to really get a running hop going to get into bed without banging my shins, so I wouldn't object too much!  And the garage thingy would definitely be a bonus!

Yes the folks at Family RV are very friendly & helpful. went to pick it up today and they went thru everything. I would call them to see if they have any more of the 261sd.. I like this one since it doesn't have the u-shaped dinette you have to crawl over and the sofa slides out.  along with the walk thru they gave me a really extensive but compact first-aid kit and a "rv starter kit" with some potty chemicals, sewer hose, a roll of TP, an adapter to plug the rv into a regular plug at the house and a 25ft drinking water hose. Tracee helped us and she's very nice.

towing was alot easier than I thought actually I think easier than the PU and I backed it in the driveway all by myself with no guidence and on the first try!!
but I do need to get some extended mirrors.

three weeks to campland ..I can't wait!!

Quote from: 6QuigsCongratulations Dee and Dan on the new Hybrid.

As for towing it, once you've made the first trip or two, you should have no problem towing it.

Dittos - It really only takes a trip or two to get used to it - invest in good sized towing mirrors and you'll do fine!

Oh, I thought you got the one with the U-shaped dinette.  I must have looked at the wrong model on the brochure.

Hey, at Campland, the party is at Dee's "house"! Gotta break that trailer in!
