I lurked when it was still coolboard, then it went to the snitz board or whatever it was.  It was a while ago.

I remember it too. I found it after visiting Tim's website.

When I found PUT it was shortly before the change from CoolBoard.  I was in a panic trying to read as many post as possible before the board changed over and the old information was lost.

MtnCamper

yup, I can remember that........

I sure do ... in fact I go back far enough when there were just a few of us posting, maybe 15 or 20 at the most. In fact I cut my eye teeth posting on the old board. My first experience with a 'puter was January, '99 ... my grand kids had passed the word to me that they wanted to hear from grandpa when they got home from school in the afternoons ... or else!  Having somehow found out how to do e-mail I then began practicing how to surf the web. Found some interesting camping websites, one of those was the old alt.rv.pop-up trailers - anyone remember that site? Tried to ask a question on one of the posts but instead managed to start a new thread. Boy did I get jumped, scalded would be a better word! Anyway, there was posted a suggestion that maybe I should go over to a fairly new site called PopupTimes and I did! Must say, however, lurked for awhile before I stuck my toe in the water. But eventually did so and was welcomed warmly. That old board was light, friendly and a lot of fun - we shared a lot of gut wrenching laughter together and maybe even learned a thing or two about popup camping!

Sure hope that old spirit returns.

I found this place about a month or so before the switch away from the old CoolBoard. (now I'm starting to feel like an old timer) Like fly this was where I got my feet wet on messageboards.

Diddn't register till the switch. If I recall on CoolBaord you did not have to register to post.

Still remember what my first post was. It was about an article in the Onion and how the Government was going to allow oil drilling in our National Parks. Some did not know this was a satirical website and the reactions were quite funny. Elisa was kind enough to email me and warn me that posts of that political nature could cause me to get flamed severely. That was my first individual contact on the board.  I diddn't get flamed, in fact I got a bunch of emails in favor of the humor displayed & to stick around. So if any of you out there sent me an email back then it's all your fault I'm still here!!

I was there!  Veeeeeeeeery sloooooooooooooow as I recall with a lot of dropping out.  Went through a number of changes between there and here.  Lot of great people and talk though.

Sure do. It seemed like a small and therefore closeknit family.I found PUT after I picked a sample PUT magazine at the KOA in Bellefonte,PA.
Been hooked ever since.
Happy Holidays to everyone.

I remember Coolboard too! If I remember correctly, found the PUT site via the  alt.rv.pop-up trailers message board..... back in the days when the legit posts out numbered the spam! Like several others have posted, this was my first experience with message boards and posting. Lot of camping trips since then:D

Haven't been over at alt.rv.pop-up trailers in well over two years.  Had forgotten about it and how nasty it had gotten.  Don't care for a lot of moderation but on the flip side, no moderation is even worse!

Merry Christmas & Happy Camping!

I remember CoolBoard.  I found it shortly after we got our first pop-up in 2000.
