Hey everyone!

You just can't start thinking about this rally too early, as far as I'm concerned! :D

The first year we held this rally at Vail Lake Resort in Temecula, we had about 17 families get together for some Halloween fun. Last year we had more than double that! Who knows how many will want to join us this year!?! :yikes:

I can't make reservations until April, but I'm thinking it might be helpful to get a tentative head count so that I'll know how many sites to reserve. (My DH is going to kill me for being wagonmaster again! If anyone else would like to step up, please feel free! It's easy to be wagonmaster for this rally, and I'm happy to walk you through it.) I'd welcome any comments on which area of the campground you might prefer, although I can't make any guarantees that we can get exactly what we want. But I would like to avoid the same area as this past year so that no one has to go crazy from the nighttime sound loop playing over and over again. :eyecrazy: Also, I'd like input on whether we'd like to expand this rally to Thursday through Sunday.

GENERAL INFO:

CG: Vail Lake Resort in Temecula, CA (BTW, I called and they are not planning to convert to a Thousand Trails reserve.)  Here's the Halloween Festival site:  http://www.vaillakeresort.com/halloween/indexhalloween.html

Dates: The last 3 weekends in October--We usually go with either the first or second weekends, so that the kids can be home with friends and family for Halloween.

Lori here's my $.02  I like down at the bottom but I like to the left 82-11 this is only thirty something spaces but we could include 148 etc but it does split us up> I also like the Mesa with the grass but you get more wind. I did miss meeting alot of families when we were all lined up in one long row. I think I saw old moose twice it would be nice to have a "circle " with some spaces in the center. Did anyone check out the new section "arroyo seco"

Lori you make the reservations and I'll wagonmaster (Dan will be thrilled :eyecrazy: ) with lots of input from you. But if anyone else wants to try a stab at wagonmaster please feel free .I don't organize things well.

So I guess that means reserve a spot for us :D

that's two....

I did check out the new section to the right of the pool and I think it would be nice in there. It's a little less lined up.  I can checkit out again the next time we camp at Vail, whihc hopefully will be soon!  We haven't camped since the Halloween rally last year!!!!!:yikes:

You rock, Dee--maybe we can be co-wagonmasters and then both of our husbands wouldn't freak--or maybe they'd only freak half as much. :D

PopUpMomma

Count us in for two spots.  We have friends who want to join us.

DK&3kids

Make that four!!!:#  My $.02 is my first choice is that "Oaks" area like Dee likes...second choice is the Chardonnay Mesa (but after our recent experience camping in wind....YIKES!:yikes: )  The bathrooms by the Oaks area were nice too.  I'd really like to say that Thurs. - Sun would be our choice...hard to know the schedule that far ahead, but for now - YES!

Dee4j

I count six so far....we've got a rally :-()  we've got a rally :-()

Make it Ten...Chez Way and Darksiders are definitely on board for a return trip.

Sue Hardee

We had such a great time our first camp out with the group count us (2) and probably the Hively's (4) also but its is hard to know how Heather's back will be that far in advance.  She is hurting really bad right now, but winter is always hard on her.

BootheBunch

We're in, too!  Our kids had a ball this past October!
