Okay - looks like we have 13 spots right now.

FOr those concerned about the weather - we have been in high 40's this week at night - and 64-75 during the day.

Sounds good.

Will reserve for 20 tomorrow - and confirm those with free passes can use them.

anyone else?

griffsmom - you guys coming?

LCMS pastor

Unfortunately, we'll have to miss this one. Dave has a pretty brutal trial schedule this year and is actually in trial this week!  He has another trial starting the 21st of February, so he'll be preparing for it that weekend instead of camping.:%  But I appreciate you asking!  :)

Bill and I will have to bow out of this one.  He just got notice that he has to go to New Jersey that week.  I don't think I could get him to drive out at meet me there after he gets off the plane.  I did that to him last weekend at the DOG and he really wasn't a happy camper.   :swear:

Just checking to see how you want us to pay for the campsite.:)

 Thanks

OKay folks - a couple of you are asking me about money, so here is the new news from Silent Valley.

A)  I believe we have three members of SV in out group - each can sponsor 5 other units into the park at $25 bucks per night.  ALl we need to do is make reservations 48 hours in advance.  Anyone who got the free pass from the LARV show- just make your reservations for then.  If all three of us sponser - that is 18 campers (including us) that we can get in.

B)  The other option is for group rate, which would be 30 bucks per night.  Only advantage there, is that we reserve our perfect spot ( which is rarely used this time of year anyway  :-D  )  Free passes still count, as do memberships.

By the way - I have been camping each weekend at my new church - which is about 20 miles away.  temperatures have been in the mid 30's - despite forecasts at 30.  And that is at 500 feet higher in elevation.  We have kept our new Niagra pretty much in the mid 60's with our ceramic heater - only using the propane frnace to get it there..   I still suggest good sleeping bags though.  Days are in the mid 60's, and absolutly stunning!

Anticipated scedule

Friday night - arrive.
Saturday Morning - potluck breakfast at 9
Saturday evening  - potluck dinner at 6
Sunday evening - potluck dinner for those staying til monday.

Members of SVLC Please email me at yvpastor@adelphia.net if you do not want to use option A.  I don't mind, and I have a couple of freinds who can assist if we need more room.

Also - if anyone wants to run a kids/crafts thing ( the campground usually has something going - but we could do our own) please let me know as well.

Pastor, The Steve-O-Buds will not be attending. My two girls and I have a father/daughter dance on Saturday night.

I hope y'all have a great weekend!

Tracy and David

Well we're still in!
And we're open to whichever option works best.  The extra $5 per night isn't a big deal if it means getting the "perfect" location!  Just let us know when and where to send the money!

Blessings,

cjpoppin

cjpoppin family are still a go........We also do not mind which option is used the five dollar difference does not make a difference.  Please let us know when and how to handle the money.  Looking forward to getting the pu out of mothballs........

We confirmed our free pass with the office so we should be all set.

cjpoppin

I guess I'm a little confused about just what we are supposed to be doing about this money thing?  Should I be calling the campground myself and set it up with the group? Do we just pay at the office when we get there? Or do we need a sponsor and we send them our money or What?  We do not have a free pass we'll have to pay the going price....Just let me know and I'll do whatever.....Thanks, Carol and Jim

jendak760

Is anybody arriving early? We have the week off and wondered if arriving a day or so earlier than the group was an option.
