Just curious...how many kids are we up to on this one?  I'm thinking of something, (smell the smoke?) and if the number of kids is manageable, I might give it a try...

Ok, as soon as the smoke clears.....what are you thinking of doing???

griffsmom

Well...

We were crusing the aisles of Wal-Mart last night after doing a little post-dinner geo-caching, and in the craft section, I found a boxed kit for making tie-dye t-shirts.  I haven't made one in years, but it just struck me as something fun to do with the kids on a camping trip where it could be done outside on a picnic table and not at home where I'd be worried about my carpeting and furniture and drapes, etc.

The kit was $10.00 each and I can't remember now how many shirts it said it would do, but I thought if the parents were willing to provide their kids with a clean white t-shirt, it would be something fun for us to do.

Sooooo...whaddya think? :)

sounds cool to me and bring them shirts and I'll pitch in for the cost of the kit.
Michaels usually has shirts for crafts at a good price.

I haven't made one in years and I'm with you I don't want the mess at home.

TheViking

We'd be in for that

Tie dying is SO fun!  We'd be in for that one and more than willing to chip in on the kits....add our 3 kids to the total.

Quote from: Dee4jI wanted to get the supersite for my big 4-0 in Sept but nothing open until Halloween weekend so I thought about Veteran's week end again.
right now I have a 2 week "hold" on the supersite and they've given me a hold until Mon. for the 11 spaces we had last time.  which is H1-H7 and H10, H12,H14,H16.  the rate will be $33/night but we must pay for 10 sites to get that. if only 9 end up reserved we will keep the extra site and add an extra few $$$.

What I need is some "hey I want to go" responses to see if anyone is even interested in going.

chezway you said yo had an interest in wagonmastering? is this weekend good for you, I know we originally talked about Sept. let me know if this is good . since you're leaving on a trip I can get the reservations made.

Welcome Carl and the Metz Family!  I'm assuming that you each want a spot so it looks like we now qualify for the official rally discount...yahoo!

For everyone who has signed up, the discounted rally cost per campsite is $72.94.  I've already paid a deposit and I will pay the balance due by October 11th.  You can get my address off the contact list or else email me and I will send it to you.  We still have quite a few months to pay so no hurry.

Here's the current list.  There still is room for one more and if we get more interested campers, I will call Campland and hold some more spots.

H-1 TheViking
H-2 Estone
H-3 Griffsmom
H-4 Sue Hardee
H-5 DK&3kids
H-6 Darksiders
H-7 Chez Way
H-8 Dee4j
H-10 Russinator
H-12 Carl555
H-14 Metz Family
H-16

Put us down for the tie dying Lori.  Sounds like fun.  From what I recall you just need Rit dye, t-shirts and rubberbands...was there anything else in the kit?

Jeanne: you would be able to get extra sites, but not right next to us.

also you don't have an "e-mail"button on the bottom of you posts so in case someone doesn't know if you go into "memebers" at the top of the page and find Chezways profile there is a link there.

I can't wait...Is it Nov. yet?

I never noticed that I don't have an email button.  I went to my profile to try and add one but didn't find anything.  Help!

go into "user cp" at the top then click on options and make sure the box is checked
that says recive e-mails you can also check the boxes that allows Private messages, it's not like Instant message when you go to the site it tells you you have a message (when you check the box for popup when you have a private message) and you read it like email..

WOW! Thanks DEE! I'm now a fully functional poster! :eyecrazy: I never checked out the user cp button so all this time I've been on Euro time and didn't realize how easy it is to change fonts, colors, etc....yikes!
