Anyone up for a Rally at KOA San Diego

We went camping this weekend with the Hardee's at San Diego Metro KOA and enjoyed the stay.  We didn't know what to expect and was impressed with the facility.  While there, they arranged an ice cream social, water balloon toss, pancake breakfast, bouncy room and a tractor drawn hayride.  The facility has a pool/hot tub, clean bathrooms/showers, playground, game room and laundry facility.  Our kids had a Blast.  
 
The campground is located approx 25 min South of  San Diego Zoo & Sea World.  DH and I thought our location would be great for a Rally because the  sights suround a grassy area and would be great for potlucks & for kids' play.    
 
When talking to the KOA office they stated that they had the following dates available:  9/16-17 & 8/26/27 in the location we stayed (although they said that we may move us  but would try to accomodate).  How are these dates for you guys.  They told me that things are booking up fast and if I were to book a Rally, I should make plans now.  
 
Here's some info:  Full hookups will be $40.95/night for 5-10 sites (regularly $49/night) & $39.95/night for 11 or more.

This is a great campground.  It was one of our favorites.  Our church in Orange County had a campout there every year.

We would be up for a rally either dates would be fine.  Weather would be really nice at that time of year.  The sites would be perfect and a big grass area is great for the kids... We love this place.  Go Kim Go!!! Count us in what ever you decide.  Sue

Hi....we'd be up for the August date!  We stayed there last summer, as well, and the kids had a ball!  They really enjoyed being able to ride their bikes there.  We can't do the September date...soccer season starts, and I am coaching.  I am only willing to miss one game, which will be the weekend of the Vail Lake Resort Rally.  Just let us know!

I knew that I could count on you Sue.  Can we count on 2 sites or 1?  We found cookie monster and will mail to you along with pictures from the weekend.  
 
I'll contact Estelle and see if they're up for the Rally.  We need only 5 to be considered a Rally so if Estelle is in, we'll have it.
 
Let's arrange it for August.  We're going to be camping at the beach the week before and uh oh, we have to go camping again.  OH darn!
 
I'll contact KOA and reserve some sites and see how many people are interested.  
 
BTW, if you pull up the KOA website, we were in space 2005 and this is the area we are looking at.

I reserved 14 sites for 8/26-27 and I need to cancel any un-used sites on 8/5.  I will need checks for $81.96 from everyone so please contact me so I can give you my address.   I did have to put down a $100 deposit so if I could re-coup my cost, it would be great.

Well, we lost one our campers, they are having their anniversary around the time of our trip and probably wanted to do something a bit more romantic than camping with a group.  Our anniversary is on 8/29 and thought we'd celebrate it with a cake.   Maybe I can feed DH like I did at our reception (hehehe).  
 
Some of you have been asking about sending in money.  I have to contact the campground and ask them a question before I I ask for money.  They are asking for a 10% tax and I want to find out what it's for.   I'll contact you in a day or so with the dollar amount and where to send.
