Easter 2007

I didn't notice the car noise when we stayed there but then again cars are like white noise to me and I tune them out. ( i do tarins & planes too)we where also there during a horrific storm..
 
 we're definatley still in Thurs thru Tues providing others are staying until Tues I think Dk&3kids are?? the kids have off that week...I can't remember now that was a couple of weeks ago when we talk ed..you all know I suffer from CRS :eyecrazy:

It better to suffer from CRS than FOS.  

OKay - we are def. in for Friday through Mon. - Dan only wants to stay the 3 nights due to work.  The Browens will be the same as us - the 3 nights.

I'm going to jump in on this one.  Friday-Sunday
(I don't think I can handle my boys by myself longer than that)
Chances are it'll just be the 3 boys, but with the distance to Fashion Island, Mom just may change her mind and my wallet...

I saw some mention of noise. Since I used to hang out at UCI boathouse just across the inlet- I can tell you that it's not that bad from car traffic- 10000 moons ago. I realize from the google photo that PCH is much wider now and the hill isolating the campsites is much smaller than in my days down there.  The big noise is the aircraft out of John Wayne.
I don't know what the hours for the aircraft are, but I remember the serenity of the bay in the early mornings and the evenings. Anybody got a small boat or canoe that we can take out at night?

Sorry to say we have to back out of this campout.........We have out of town company coming for Easter.....WE are excited about seeing them but will miss camping with the group.......Have fun and we'll see ya in Feb.........

Sounds like this will be a lot of fun. I'm kinda wishing I could beam my trailer down to come to more of the rallies. But, alas......hmmmm.

Can't do those long drives during school. And tax season for me at work, 6 day workweeks.

Okay.  We have 9 families going to Newport.  We need 10 to get the group price.  A group gets it for $37.40 a night....otherwise, it's $63.80 a night.  The sites are small anyway...so we are thinking we could all just pitch in to cover that extra site--I think it would be like $12 total from each of us to keep it for 3 nights.  The sites are small, anyway....so we can use the site for potlucks and campfire.  Is this okay with you all?

I can't pm some of you...some of us are still coming up as "guest".  So, I was wondering what days some of you are planning on staying.  I need to know about cjpoppin' and hardeepoppers....oh, and popupmomma and Allen Family.

Also, I was wondering what we would like to do on Easter.  For an Easter Dinner or such.  I could price things out and see how much it would be to get a whole meal done (like at Albertsons or something) and we could all pitch in.  Or, we could all pitch in to get a honey-baked ham....and we all make a side. Ideas?  Thoughts?

I went down and checked it out....we are so close to the sand!!  I hope it is good weather to play in the sand!!  The pool is heated, so that is a plus!

....did you get the group for the rally as Fri & Sat or Fri Sat & Sun.?

I am Thurs-Tues..(provided they will give the groups rate for the other nites)

Having been there I know how small the sites are and I would gladly pitch in the extra $$$$

As far as Potluck..since so much is going on I think we should forgo the breakfast one. Dinner I will go with what everybody wants to do.
 

The only thing I HAVE to do is pick up DS at Long Beach airport Sunday morning. so I can't commit to any Sunday morning plans.
