....did you get the group for the rally as Fri & Sat or Fri Sat & Sun.?

I am Thurs-Tues..(provided they will give the groups rate for the other nites)

Having been there I know how small the sites are and I would gladly pitch in the extra $$$$

As far as Potluck..since so much is going on I think we should forgo the breakfast one. Dinner I will go with what everybody wants to do.
 

The only thing I HAVE to do is pick up DS at Long Beach airport Sunday morning. so I can't commit to any Sunday morning plans.

The actual rally is Fri and Sat nights.  They are willing to give the group rate for 2 nights before the rally and 2 nights after the rally.  So, you should be able to get the group rate Thurs through Monday night.

Most of us are staying until Monday, I think.  So, I only rounded the $12/family for the three nights.  If someone isn't staying, I will fix the amount.  Once I get confirmation of how many nights everyone is staying....I can give exacts.

I agree....too much going on Saturday morning.  The campground is having a pancake breakfast that day...so that could be an option.   I will get the price from them.  

Now, we do get to use a room sometime.  Would we want it on Sat night or Sun night--for a potluck.  I was thinking Sun...for Easter Dinner...and Dan's birthday.  That is, if it is available.

Now, the campground does have some Easter activities starting on Friday...beginning at 2 pm.  We plan to show up right at check-in so I can get the girls to the activities (like basket decorating and such).  

It is $37.40/night.  Plus $12 for us to keep the extra site for Fri-Sun.  So, I need a check from everybody for $86.80.  PM me and I will send you my address.  I need to pay them by the first of March.  

You need to contact Newport Dunes to reserve for Thurs, Sun, Mon.  Just tell them you are with Sccampers...and tell them your site number.

Sorry, we had plans for that weekend but they just got canceled. I got a phone call about 20 minutes ago.

Wouldn't you know it.........we're trying to get outa here to head to Pt Mugu and everything is happening :banghead: . Any other day, I'd be looking for things to do. :yikes:

These used to be done every Easter when we camped at the lake when I was a teenager, so I figure I need to.......yes...I'm gonna say it.......resurrect this tradition.

I am almost, pretty sure we will be coming in friday morning, maybe thursday night and will probaby, maybe leave sunday......And the same with the allen family.....but i'll put the pressure on all to come up thursday and leave monday....but, most likely, friday to sunday......how's that for certain........not!!!!

Okay.  We have 9 families going to Newport.  We need 10 to get the group price.  A group gets it for $37.40 a night....otherwise, it's $63.80 a night.  The sites are small anyway...so we are thinking we could all just pitch in to cover that extra site--I think it would be like $12 total from each of us to keep it for 3 nights.  The sites are small, anyway....so we can use the site for potlucks and campfire.  Is this okay with you all?

I can't pm some of you...some of us are still coming up as "guest".  So, I was wondering what days some of you are planning on staying.  I need to know about cjpoppin' and hardeepoppers....oh, and popupmomma and Allen Family.

Also, I was wondering what we would like to do on Easter.  For an Easter Dinner or such.  I could price things out and see how much it would be to get a whole meal done (like at Albertsons or something) and we could all pitch in.  Or, we could all pitch in to get a honey-baked ham....and we all make a side. Ideas?  Thoughts?

I went down and checked it out....we are so close to the sand!!  I hope it is good weather to play in the sand!!  The pool is heated, so that is a plus!
