The WII are heart attack machines for anyone over 40. The controllers are also smashing into TV screens by people letting go. Hate to lose a plasma big screen that way. PS3's have blue ray DVD - that's very cool!!!! Jacqui - can you get a sweet deal on a PS3??

The WII is sweet. I like the system because you actually have to get off the couch to play the game. He hasn't had any trouble with the controller yet. I guess you can get new wrist straps for it. Dave, sorry no sweet deal here. The PS3 was running $600. Even if I could use my discount it would only knock off $60. Too much money for a game system (in my book) From what I understand, people would rather have the WII than the PS3. Chris saved every dime for the past year to buy the WII. He even coerced Kendra to sit in line wtith him. That only cost him about $20 in food:yikes: .

I agree that $600 is a lot of $$ for a game console. But it has blue ray technology which drives the price up. Interestingly, they say that PS2's will still be out-selling all game consoles in 2007.

Sorry, the heart attack statement was not meant to offend anyone over 40. And PS, I wish I could have a plasma. Lori's says I can have one, but our 14 year old Mitsubishi won't die.

My check is in the mail but the post office was closed today in honor of our former president so you should have it by the 5th.  Otherwise, you know where you can find me!
 
Jim and I are in mourning over the USC stomping of Michigan yesterday plus we got scr**ed and tatooed by an ebay seller.  Our tickets were reported as stolen so when we presented them at the gate one hour before game time we found out that they had been reprinted and the originals were not honored.  Kind of took the buzz off our pre-game tailgate party!  We are proceeding with a claim on Paypal and will hopefully get some recourse.  The ebay seller was a bit of a bumbling crook because I have a lot of information about him and his brother who received the tickets directly from Michigan as reflected on the envelope that they forwarded the tickets to me in!  Just when you want to believe in the kindness of your fellow human beings something like this happens...not a good way to start out 2007 but we are hoping for better times ahead!

Brandon just got notice of jury duty...he is supposed to report down in Santa Ana on Feb. 15th!!  He is going to call to see if he can postpone it...hopefully so...or we'll have to cancel.  Ugh!

I get extensions for our clients all the time...it just takes a phone call to the voicemail jury service system (unless the rules in the OC are different from LA county).

I hope so!  You know, he gets tagged every year!   And, do they have timing!  Once it was when I was having our second baby--he was supposed to show up on the day of the scheduled c-section.  Then, he had one to call in--and ended up in emergency having his appendix out--I had to call them and tell them he was a bit out of commission.  :-)
