Woohoo!  Darksiders and Chez Way have returned from Hawaii, Karen is another year/decade older and we are counting the days until FF.  Hawaii was a blast notwithstanding the tsunami warning on Friday night!!!!!

So I see that there has been some discussion of POKER!!!  Anyone up to a little seven card stud, Dr. Pepper style (10's, 2's and 4's are wild)?  Winning hand is generally 5 aces...or how about some 5 card draw, pair of Jacks or better to open, progressive?  I'm going to go polish our chips now!!!

Good, I like to have stacks of your "Shiny" chips in front of me when we play poker.

We just got back from Circuit City with a Wii!  At last.  We were no. 23 in line and they had 42 of them. My neighbor was no. 1 in line (he got there at 4 a.m.)  We were in line at 8. Samantha got a voucher and sold it for $50!  My little entrepeneur...

Toys R Us had some, too...just sitting on the shelf.  I thought the whole tornado was over with and there was plenty to be had!! Well, glad you got one!

I need to start working out...thinking of getting one for myself!  My friend plays "tennis" everyday.   :D

I picked one up for the kids, (OK, me too). ;)

Yesterday Target had plenty, just sitting there.  I considered running back and buying out their entire inventory and becoming an instant Ebay tycoon!:D   They are still selling for over $300 on Ebay!!???  Maybe folks out in the boonies away from big distribution points still can't get them easily?

TheViking

They're still hard up here in the Antelope Valley. Called around Sunday and everyone who got them in said they were sold as soon as they opened. I really don't want to camp out to get one. We were also told by Best Buy that they were having glitches and Nintendo was slow getting them out do to that. I haven't heard anything except the strap breaking on the controller. As soon as the stores have them in stock (in quantity) and we don't have to wait in line we'll get one.

Here is a note you can use if you are taking your kids out of school.

Just remember to change the name of the kids ;)

Dear______________,

Kevin/Kara will not be in school Friday, February 16th. as they will be on a field study. Their field study will begin with searching for large marine life while moving up the coast at speeds topping out at 65 mph. They will continue by researching the history of the Danish settlement in California. At all times they will be on full alert looking for any military aircraft and taking scientific observations of the adult human mind after it has visited many grape farms. They will also indulge in a feast of foods, made by several families of many cultures. Their feast will be completed with a rare delicacy made from graham crackers, chocolate and melted marshmallows.
Please let me know of any assignments that need to be completed.

can you tell I'm Irish :D
