Moose, I'm so disappointed to hear this news, but it sounds like Steve has a great attitude.  Look what Attitude (witha capital "A") did for Lance Armstrong...Steve, you, Paula and all of your family will remain in our prayers for as long as you need them.

Moose, We're sorry to hear of Steve's setback. We continue to keep him and your family in our thoughts and prayers. His positive attitude and courage will take him a long way. His determination and outlook are indeed admirable qualities that you played a role in shaping. You must be very proud, I know I would be.

sorry to hear about Steve's pathology results...altho it's not the best news, it's not the worst news, either. a positive attitude goes a long way, so we're confident that Steve will recover fully.
we will continue to send prayers to you and your family
God Bless

Tell Steve to keep on fighting the fight.  Youhave all of us here to back him up. We will keep him in our thoughts.  Hang in there.

Well we're back from Colorado. Steve is slowly recuperating from the surgery. He gets the staples out on Monday and see's the oncologist on Wednesday. Steve talked to a PA with the surgeons office who put things in a better light. Both tumors are very slow growing and he could have had them since childhood. The PA had a more positive  outlook about the future. He said the oncologist would give him more details, but we were greatly encouraged by the news. Steve told me was only worrying about recovering from the surgery. I think things will work out fine. I recovered from a malignant melanoma and he'll recover as well. Friday night Steve ventured out for the first time to see his son Porter get his yellow belt in karate. It was fun.

Everyone have a great week.

Good news,
I talked with Steve this afternoon and after visiting with the oncologist he found there were no malignant cells in either of the tumors. He's not going to make a decision on radiation until after he feels better. He said he'd make that decision in a month or two. I feel really much better this afternoon.

Best to all,
Moose

How is Steve doing???

oldmoose

Thanks for asking Deidre. Steve is improving and is frustrated by still being dizzy. He's getting stronger week by week, and he wants to speed it up, but his body is telling him no. He did have his wife drive him to his office and he's getting out to build his endurance. His voice is almost back to normal so that's a big yeah.

Saturday we went down to the Boy Scout camp to see how the work on the road is going. About 1/3 of it is done. No final decision on our proposal yet though it's looking a little more positive.
