Hello!
My wife and I bought a Starcraft this year and were referred here by the previous owners.  We live in Long Beach, and actively camp with our wonderful 1 year old daughter.

We have had a great time @ Cachuma and Anza Borrego and are getting ready to Camp at Four Jeffreys near Bishop. Has anyone been there?

Thanks!

OC Campers

Welcome R & G.  If you enjoy camping with others, this is a super group of people.  We used to live in Fountain Valley and have since moved north but we still drive south to meet up with the group.

Now as far as your campground question.  We go to Bridgeport all the time but have never stayed in Bishop.  All I know is that in August it will be HOT!!

Enjoy your new popup.

Hello and welcome fellow Long Beach resident!

I last stayed and tent camped at Four Jeffery right before Memorial Day weekend (and Mule Days), in 1987.  It's a fairly non-descript campground, with non-shady sites.  It's attributes are that it's close to South Lake and the town.

My family and I just returned from a 4th of July week in Bridgeport, June Lake, Mammoth, and Bishop.  Bring back some of Schat's Bakkery jalapeno cheese bread!;)

Thank you very much for the warm welcome!
From the pictures I have seen, the campground, as Beacher put it, is non-descript.  I was able to get reservations this week for next weekend (not sure if that's a good thing or not!). Much to see/do in the immediate area, including sabrina lake.  I will have a full report when we get back.

Can't make lopez lake, but we would definitely enjoy meeting all of you!

Will be in touch, and thanks again for the warm welcome!

 Hi and welcome to SCCampers.
A few suggestions would be to check at least every other day as new rallies come up on the spur of the moment and fill up fast! Also check rallies that are already full but that you might want to come for the day/nite fun! Even put your name down for campouts that are full. You never know what the future holds so there is a chance of a cancelation or two, most always.
Lastly to learn the rally song and bring lots of firewood.

I agree with Bob....He was old when dirt was young!

Dee4j

Bob is right... check VERY often...to get into places for a large group you have to think months  or more ahead of time

so someone will post hey I'm going camping and there you have it..a Rally

the saying here is: if you plan it.....They will camp!

oh yeah Lots of firwood and learn the rally song..

dkutz

again with the rally song..no one ever taught me the song.  What is it? "yo ho yo ho a cactus cooler for me" ???
