Reserve america opened today for february.  We got a site at san elijo state beach, just north of Del mar.  We have site 22 for feb 15th - 18th.

If any SCCampers would like to join us there are some hook up sites left, and many "dry" sites. (water not booze!)

If you have never been there, its a great place right on the beach, close to many nice palces to eat and shop.  Clean Bathrooms and coin op showers,a dn good bike riding for the kids.

Come on down!

We love Beach camping but not in February; DH doesn't camp in COLD weather.  I'm still hearing about the time we camped at Far West Resorts (Santa Paula) in our then new 05 Niagara in February and DH complained the whole time.  I'm lucky if I can get him our late March/April.

Have fun!

Oh heck try Julien in January!  In the snow!  Oh and I had chicken pox...

I think the beach in Feb should be a breeze, especially if we have the weather we had this year...

let me check tomorrow or should I say later today when I can actually think.(no comments Brian!)

I may have HS Band commitments  :banghead:

This was the very first place we ever camped in our pop up. We're up for it but will have to check out our commitments (boy scouts, soccer, indian guides and I don't know what else we've signed Griffin up for) before we know we can come for sure.

San Elijo is a wonderful state beach campground.

I used to live 2 miles from it and we camped there many times.

The weather, in February, will probably be sunny, mid 70s [daytime] and mid 50s at night. However, that's our rainy season so who knows?

Dee,

The "RV" sites say:

"This is an Inland, Hookup site. Hookup sites limited to 2 vehicles; one motorhome or trailer, and one small vehicle. All wheels must stay on pavement. Maximum RV length 24 ft. May not accommodate slideouts."

This was the first place we ever camped in our pop up. It's a parking lot style cg and the spaces are small and VERY close together. If you click on the individual sites, they let you know how long the driveway is--some of them are as long as 35 feet. we're 32 feet when open and our slide and side bunk could make it a super tight fit. But, this cg is located on a bluff overlooking a beautiful beach.

Here's picture of Griffin on San Elijo Beach--it was the very first time he ever went to the beach. He was about 16 months old.

OMG :yikes:

I can't believe that Griff was EVER that small :sombraro:

Who's the hot chick that's with him??

Dee4j

well I did find the hookups but we can't fit....max vehicle length is 24ft...I need 30 min.

it also won't accomodate slides

dkutz

The last time we were there there were BIG rvs in some spots.  Are they all max 24 feet?  Maybe some are longer...who knows.  I only go to 21 open so I don't have a problem.

Ok I just checked, some are 35 feet, but by this point I am guessing they are all taken.  It is a very popular CG
