This was right across the campsite that I showed you in the photo above [Piney Woods].

The pictures are great!

And another on the east coast of the Keweenau peninsula

I went to the beach a few days ago. I took a few pictures and made this collage with them. My son likes to write poems, this is one he wrote and emailed to me asking me to make something with it. I hope he [and you all] like what I made.

Yup... The first 3 are from Black Bear Pass and the last one is from Imogene Pass. Both passes are in the telluride to Ouray area!

On this camp trip we left the POP at home. We were in a Riverside County Campground near Idyllwild, CA. We were the only campers in the park, but there was a couple down the way [day use area] that were drunk, got in a fight and made lots of noise. After a while the ranger made them leave. I understood why he wanted them out of the park, but didn't understand why he let them drive--they were wasted.

Sometimes we leave the PUP at home, too -

sandhill cranes taking off at sunset while canoeing on the WI river:

my favorite camping buddy, Fizzy, taking a snooze in the canoe;

Kohler Andre State Park beach at night, Sheboygan, WI

two more:

my two sorta-step-grandsons -

Joey, age 3 and Christopher, Age 6 with a friend on the kiddie roller coaster at the Sheboygan County fair

and meeting a real cow!

Our very first campsite, somewhere in the Mojave Desert in California off Route 66.  Man was it hot!

Hiking down into the Grand Canyon on the South Kaibab Trail, Day 1. Yes, that's the upcoming trail in distance to the left of my wife, Kim. We're head into that dark ravine to the right of me.

Just about to make the descent to the Colorado River and the bottom of the Grand Canyon.

The first big view of the Colorado. Normally it's bright blue/green, but this was monsoon season, so it was it's real red/brown color.  The oasis of green is Bright Angel Creek and Campground where we camped, and Phantom Ranch is 1/2mi up the creek from there.

Great pictures. Thanks for sharing them with us.  Russ

Last March we were in Yosemite, right after a snow storm.
