One of the many wonderful views in Yosemite National Park.

I added the frame to my picture using Photoshop Elements.

Last March we were in Yosemite, right after a snow storm.

Your pics of Yosemite are fantastic. You've got a great eye, and must have a superb camera!

We ski Badger Pass (in Yosemite) every winter and have a great time...as well as some great winter driving stories from being up there during huge snow storms, and immediately after!  During the big one in Feb '06, it was snowing all the way down here in San Luis Obispo (sea level and 10mi from the ocean) if that gives you an idea of how bad it was at 7,000' at Yosemite.  Awesome!  I had both the front and the rear of the 4x4 Suburban shod in snow cables!  Great times!

This is what was left of Hwy 41 about 8 miles from the South Entrance. Under that layer of snow was glare ice.

Here's the whole family and even my 65 year old mom comes with us! Awesome little family ski area.

Our very first campsite, somewhere in the Mojave Desert in California off Route 66.  Man was it hot!

Hiking down into the Grand Canyon on the South Kaibab Trail, Day 1. Yes, that's the upcoming trail in distance to the left of my wife, Kim. We're head into that dark ravine to the right of me.

Just about to make the descent to the Colorado River and the bottom of the Grand Canyon.

The first big view of the Colorado. Normally it's bright blue/green, but this was monsoon season, so it was it's real red/brown color.  The oasis of green is Bright Angel Creek and Campground where we camped, and Phantom Ranch is 1/2mi up the creek from there.

That is a fun hike!! I remeber doing a few while there last!

Thanks for the kind words. My camera is nothing special, it's a middle of the road point and shoot. The main reason I got it was for it's zoom lens [12X digital] for taking pictures of my kids and grandkids surfing.

Here's another picture I took in Yosemite. If you look close you'll see our DD standing at the base of the tree.

What camera do you own?  Sure takes fantastic shots!

Thanks for the kind words. I once read that the only difference between a good photographer and an average photographer was that the good one only shows his good pictures, whereas the average one shows them all. I don't believe that to be true, however, it does have some merit.

My point and shoot camera is a Konica Minolta Dimage Z3. It's a 4.0 mega pixel camera with a 12X zoom lens. In 35mm camera lingo the zoom lens would be 35 to 420. When I bought the camera 12X was the strongest available for a point and shoot camera. That might not be true today.

I did a google search and found this site http://www.dcresource.com/reviews/minolta/dimage_z3-review/index.shtml

Nice!  That looks like it could be the cover photo for a Chevy truck brochure.  I like the outhouse too!  Where'd you find that?
