After our first Year with the PUP there a few places we would still like to go..how about you guys.?

Next year.

SAN ELIJO (already reserved)
Lopez Lake (sccampers)

William Heise
San Diego KOA
Vail Lake
Woods Valley

Dee4j

well we already have San Mateo in Feb, Newport Dunes in March (easter/spring break) Lopez Lake in July & Santa Paula for Oct

I know there is a trip planned for MLK weekend also

Vail Lake is nice, but IMHO they have gotten too expensive for what they offer.

I most likely will extend my Lopez trip

We are going back to beach camping more.

We are going to Moro Bay in Jan and will probably do Pt Mugu at least once in Jan as well. We plan to book Doheny in Feb and we want to go to Leo Carrillo and/or Refugio in Feb or March.

We passed Refugio this weekend, its off the 101 right?  Looks like a nice place, maybe we'll add it to our list...

Ditto what Dee said.  Also, Campland in San Diego (us in May with Adventure Princesses).

I would like to do Woods sometimes, and go to the Wild Animal Park. :-)

So far the only trip we have planned is Lake Lopez in July.  We also have our family/friends Memorial day trip to the Mojave desert.

Up here in Northern California it is hard to plan weekend trips because you never know what the weather will be.

Refugio is a love hate relationship with us. We've learned to only go if you can get a spot as far away from the highway/RR tracks as possible. Then it is a beautiful spot.

Plans?  What are plans?

As David's life of business is winding down a little bit )no sports, no job -- yet), Emily's is ramping up.  She's playing travel ball, and we have weekend games most Sundays, practices most Saturdays.  But if we have a weekend free of games and I can work it out with the boss (or at least I let him think he's the boss), we're out of here!

We just got our trailer from the dealer for minor repairs and I am now looking forward to next years' camping.

This is what we have planned:

Joshua Tree
Santa Paula
Lake Lopez

Not Official Yet
Calico
Lake Casitas
Redwoods or Yosemite

I shiver whenever Woods Valley is mentioned.  We had our WORST trip ever there and would never return.   They have a small zoo but last year it was under construction and the poor animals were living in conditions that I didn't agree with.  They also have have a playground (well, sort of),  they have 2 swings and their vollyball net was falling down.   The only saving grace to our trip was Legoland, we all had a blast and couldn't wait to leave the next morning.   I hope the campground made it more appealing by adding to the playground and making the animals new homes.   I hope you have a better time than we did.

I think you would have a ball.  No rules.  Fire as big as you want, as late as you want.  No security telling us to "Simmer Down Now"  Borrow Brandons genny, lord knows if Lisa has a say they won't make a trip to the dez.
