Okay. The kids are ganging up on us this Christmas -- actually, they're cooperating with each other, and have asked for a Nintendo Wii system for Christmas as a joint gift. Problem is, we can't find one.

If any of my local SCCamper friends happens upon one when you're out and about, grab it for me! I'm sending out my SOS!!!

I thought this was going to be another one of those "Pottie" threads. :sombraro:

Try best buy today (Sunday) our local store had a sign on their front door saying they would be selling them today! But by the time you read this there will either be a long line or no line because they sold out already! At my work, as soon as they come in they are sent to the sales floor and sell out right then and there! There are reports from our electronics people that have customers coming in first thing in the morning and wait around for hours just to see if any have come for that day.
Also try a store called "game stop" probably in your local mall.

Well don't know how far you want to drive but our local Target In costa mesa on harbor is supposed to get them in the 18th, but your would have to get here early and wiat in line....  And I also heard about best buy.

Good luck!  I haven't had to deal too much with looking for "the" thing for xmas.

I'll keep my eyes open for you. I don't know why they are still hard to find but they are. We got ours earlier this year. We just happened to be shopping in Target and they had ONE so we grabbed it. They need to make more and the stores need to order more for the holiday season.

OC Campers

Trina, if you want me to look around up here, I will.   Might cost a bit to ship though.  We got ours the first day it came out.  Chris and Kendra waited in line for 16 hours.

Game Stop is also a good place to look.  Our Game Stop even had a used one not too long ago.

my sister got the kids one while we were at Campland. Grandpa is getting them one as a combined gift...My two have been asking since LAST xmas and for their Bdays too.

My sister got up real early and looked at the ads. Target had it in their ad and she went there when they opened.

My understanding from the stores is they arrive by UPS separate and they don't know how many they are going to get.

The best thing I would say is call TRU, Target, Walmart every morning and see. I know the best buy by me said they don't put them all out at once so people don't call their friends and buy them up.

good luck!!  My sons counselor is looking for one too so if she finds it I will tell her to call me.

PM me your number so I can access it right away. our computer isn't working well

I've been checking all the online stuff.  Even checking retailers you wouldn't normally think of, like Radio Shack.  E-Bay is too much of a mark-up.  Our Best Buy was getting 100 of them this morning, but they advised lining up by 5:00 AM.  Sorry, I'm not that person.  Didn't line up for Power Rangers either back in the day, and somehow my son had them all anyway (and still has them in our garage for the grandkids!!!)

I guess I'll just randomly check with various Targets, Wal-Marts, Best Buys, etc. as I traverse So. Cal. for work.  I've found things that were otherwise sold out by dropping in on a Wednesday afternoon after work.  And if I can't find one, they just won't get one.

But as I said, if you find one, get it and let me know!  Jacqui, what do you think shipping would be from there?  I have no idea what the box weighs.

We send stuff to Bridgeport all the time. If you send it FedEx Ground, you'll have it in a day or 2. Cost will be $10-$20.

We picked up ours last year, when they were first introduced.  Just walked into a Target and there it was, (with three others).  Since then, I have seen a bunch at the Target near where I work.  I even considered selling some on Ebay myself! :p  I'll keep an eye open!

Good luck, Trina.  We were in the same situation last year and it made us crazy. I was leaving my office every day to go to the Game Stop at 11 am for several days in a row waiting for UPS to deliver.  Jim went to Target a couple of mornings at the crack of dawn but there were over 100 people in line before him.  We ended up giving Gregory an IOU from Santa and then picked one up at Circuit City in January because our neighbor called us when a shipment was coming in.  I went to the store 2 hours before they opened with Samantha and they handed out numbers about 1 hour before opening.  Samantha got a number even though she didn't need one and ended up selling it to someone for $50!  Our neighbor sold his extra number for $100.  So when you do finally get a spot in line make sure you bring plenty of people with you to get numbers and you may be able to get your Wii for free!  Ho Ho Ho!  Isn't holiday shopping fun?

Hopefully you can have that kind of luck again!  You'd be easy to pick it up
