We had a nice and relaxing weekend but could have done without the WIND.  Waking up at 11:30 last night seeing our chair melting in our firepit was no bargain.   Potlucks were wonderful and Wayne was right,  extra sausage would not go un-eatten.   This just might be a Spring ritual and we'll try and get reservations next year.

Sorry we didn't get to say "goodbye" to everyone. It was a great campout and the potlucks are getting better with practice.

It was kinda weird coming back to camp today at 3:PM and finding the place totally empty except our camper.

We had a fun tour of Joshua Tree National Forrest and did some rock climbing.

Thanks again Kim for organizing this....it was great.

I've attached our pics.......there are lots of them. I guess I went a little crazy with the camera this time. :D

Great pictures everyone...I really enjoyed camping at Joshua Tree and we definitely would like to go to Indian Cove next spring even with the pit toilets!

Another great rally for the books. Thanks Kim for organizing and dealing with the campsites, etc. Also, a big thank you for the Girl Scout cookies! The only downside was that the wind on Saturday night kept us from playing poker...

We really enjoyed the "Holy Moley" ranger program but I think it got me a little spooked. When Sadie had to go out in the middle of the night on Saturday, I took her over to the bushes to do her business. When I heard something rustling around I screamed because I wasn't sure if it was a sharped clawed Badger, a jumping Kangaroo rat, a coyote or a tarantula. All I know is that Sadie and I hightailed it back to the trailer!

That was me.........I was checking to se if a Badger, a jumping Kangaroo rat or a tarantula had gotten into our cooler........when I heard the scream, I thought a coyote got one of the dogs so I ran back into my trailer... :p

You two are killing me sooooooo funny ya know they forgot to talk about the skunks and I'm be more afraid of the snakes out hunting those Kangaroo rats then the rats....... if the badger was out hunting you wouldn't have to worry for long.........at least you both headed for cover and out of dangers way!
Wayne loved the pic's you found lots to take pictures of didn't you......And they say the desert isn't pretty!!!!!
Can't wait till May that's our next camp-out........taking our trailer in tomorrow to get a few things done.  We want to have a fantastic fan installed and have them look at our tv hook-up it doesn't seem to work and gotta have the nightly news......Question if TV = tow vehicle then how do you abbreviate television?

Joshua Tree was great! The weather on Saturday was wonderful.  We could have done without the wind on Saturday night.  Our friends Adie and Jerry had a wonderful time too and would like to join us again
