Bought one and used it last weekend at the races at TMS here in Ft Worth...

Why didn't any of you talk me into this a long time ago!!!!!!??????

Well worth the money!!! If you don't have one, GET ONE!!!!!

Ha! This is one of the longest ongoing debates here...and I've only been here a year and a half.

Everytime it's come up (and you've apparently missed all the fun) the BAL Levelers (including me) sing the praises, while the stack-the-wood crowd, and the links leveler gang start banging around the plastic blocks and making a ruccus with their 2x6's.

To me, it's a no brainer.  You get to park where and how you want, and 2 min later, you're level.  Quite often I'll unhitch from the TV and push the PUP over to where I want it....even turning it sideways across a space that was normally for parking and putting a tent on the ground.  I don't have to rely on the TV to shove the PUP up onto anything, I don't need the DW yelling at me as I'm doing so, and I don't have to jockey on and off my stack of stuff in order to get level.

It's the best $52.10 I've spent on PUP gear.

It's a girley-man issue.

As everyone knows true men are wood stackers.

(certainly don't mean to cause any trouble or anything)

And then some men advanced over the last 100,000 years and began using steel and tools, which allowed them to build their camp fast and spend more time with the female of the species.

So does this mean because I use a BAL and am of the female persuasion that I'm a manly-girl? :yikes:

Or maybe the question is; where are men of your camp? ;)

Done Working

I like my BAL too. levels in pinch, and it chalks. I find it to be a great tool.
I use wood for fires. ;)
Actually I occasionally use wood  in combination with my BAL. I use a short plank in muddy situations to keep the BAL from sinking into the mud. Keeps my BAL clean, hate to get such a great device dirty.

"Done Working"...you tell 'em

If you've ever had a bad nights sleep because you weren't level than you'll appreciate a BAL leveler.

I think using the BAL says something about you and your camping style and maybe your need for 'red hair' level! I don't have a problem being off level, it's a no brainer especially camping.

My camping style does not require the BAL for various reasons.

Thrilled and delighted for you - your way of setting up. You opinion counts, but plese don't force a camping style on me or suggest I'm sub human cuz I either use nothing (90% of time) or a simple recycled piece of wood.

FYI, keep the BAL lubricated, it needs it. Also, keep that grease away from me, it has a habbit of jumping on me!

Maybe you and others loyal owners could provide Norco feedback to eliminate all the faliures.

Hey it's all in good fun and if using the BAL gets you camping moore, go for it. In my case not spending $$$ for the BAL lets me camp more, so I'll use the time honored method used by millions!

SHHH  ...don't tell anyone...but once in a while I sneak off and camp with no man! :D

JohnandLeann

I used sneak off and camp with out a woman.
But now that I have married, all is good.
Have considered BAL but not purchased just yet.
