We are signed up for the Roaring Camp train ride through the redwoods.  We took Kendall when he was little, and he loved it.

They have two offers, one goes through the Redwoods 1.5 hours round trip, by steam train I believe.
We are going on Monday the 3rd. 11am

OC Campers

The boardwalk trip sounds more appealing to the kids but I would like either one.

we will do the boardwalk train or no train, its  a blast... but I think they use diesel for the boardwalk trip, and steam for the redwood trip.

Dee4j

I voted for the boardwalk there is something fun for the kids at the end. you said it's a 3 hour round trip so it takes 1 1/2 hrs by train to get to the boardwalk?

Steam train may be neat but no way I'm going to get kara to sit on a train for that long to look at trees.

We're planning on going to the Boardwalk but we're probably going to do it on our own.  We would like to take the train to the Redwoods.

cjpoppin

We vote for both......

DK&3kids

Years ago when the boys were little, we went to the Boardwalk and then caught the train round trip to the redwoods.  It is one of our BEST vacation memories.  The boys couldn't have been much older than 5 and 3.  We highly recommend both.  :-)

JohnandLeann

We would like to do both at this time.  Been to Felton but have never taken the ride to the coast.

Now I know...

"They should be purchased at least a week in advance.  If you wait til then, we would require full payment by credit card---that is, provided the trains are not already sold out."

Hoagie

We'd be interested in both train trips. Let us know what the final decision is regarding group tickets.
