This is from the web site for the campground:

Check-in times vary with the seasons, later during the summer, early during the winter. Please call for more specific information (805) 649-2233.

We hope to be there around 12ish( Thur ) at the latest just need to get on the road by 9 A.M......at least that's the plan....we are mostly packed just a few things to get done....I hope we do not end up getting to much rain tomorrow so we can get the trailer hooked up and stay dry and finish packing it without getting wet.....News is saying we could get some snow tonight that could change the plans just a little......It's a wait and see at this point.....

Brad and Mary what time are you planning to be at the CG?

Carol, we should be leaving home about 5pm and be there about 5:30pm...we both have to work on Friday and Sean has school, but we will spend Thurs night there and I will bring my work to camp on Friday if it is a clear day...(I only have one!)  We are not ready, not packed, but excited!

Kevin should be good to go with us at 2pm. I'm sure this will get him an excused absence

Dear..(his last 2 teachers)
Just a heads up that Kevin will be missing your class on Friday. He will be taking an educational journey for the 3 day weekend. Kevin will be traveling North to try to catch up with Lyndsey Wagner to see if she truly loves the sleep number bed. He will be taking measurments on how the recent rainfall has changed the water level in the local lake and study how the early settlers to this region use local resources for food & shelter. He will be observing how fire starting techniques have evolved from the once primitive way of rubbing 2 sticks together to the mini flame thrower constructed with a propane tank and asphalt burner. He also will be learning to ingnore the torture bestowed upon him by the lack of Wifi service.

wait..... I think that last line is for me..:o

I just checked my reservation and it says the latest time to check in on a weekday is 9 and on the weekend it's 10. You may want to call to confirm this if check in time is an issue.

Dang Private schools!!  Around here we are lucky if they tell us they are sick!

I just google mapped the way from our house to the lake.  It advises to take the 150 from like around Santa Barbara to the lake.  That route looks quite twisty and not very direct but prob very scenic.  Would it be better to go on down the road to the 33 instead?  That route looks a bit longer perhaps but a better hiway with less twisties.
Please advise,
John
