Quote from: gsm x2So Jeff, is Amy going to put in the blue or the green PolyMat in the newly redecorated bathroom?  Rumor has it that it works much better than Astroturf.

Scott
That would look cool in green wouldn't it.  Actually greenish (is that a color?) tiles with small grout lines are going in.  With young boys you need a hard surfaced floor (that cleans up easily) around the toilet.  Especially a 4 year-old boy who if distracted will turn in the direction of the distraction.   :eek:
This tile floor I'm leaving up to the experts because there is the toilet hole to cut around as well as there is a 4" x 10" floor vent that lands smack dab in the center of a tile.  I can make that cut with hardwood and a jigsaw, but have no idea how you do that with tile.
So, I'm about out the door off to work, in part to pay for the bathroom work and in part because I missed the last 1 1/2 days of work with the flu.

Ok, we are "looking" at a new Starcraft, the 23TB, ok, not looking but trying to get approved for, ok, really crossing our fingers for.  And then will make the mad scramble to sell Terry the Popout.

I am starting school in three weeks, Chapman University for my Masters.  This I am sure will keep me very busy.  At the rallies I will be the one in curled up in the chair with a textbook and pen.

We are looking forward to Olema, I love to go out and Whale Watch at the lighthouse and this will be Turner Tot's first trip out to do this.  I am hoping this year I am in better shape to go up the 300 + stairs.

Neff-We caught the Pre-30th anniversary Y & T show in Santa Clara a few weeks ago and had a great time. Now DH is reminding me to get his Metallica tickets for March.

So Ray, that's what we're doing!!!   :D
Rojana -
I must have missed this post as this was posted on the day when I was at my worst with the flu.
"Pre-30th"?  Never seen that before.  Guess I can start celebrating my pre-40th birthdays now since there aren't many left, lol.  I had no idea that Y&T has been around that long.  This year will be Rush's 30th anniversary (they'll be announcing tour dates soon - yeah!).  I probably got into Y&T in about 1982 or so.  Weird that they had already been around for 8 years.  I have the "Yesterday & Today" vinyl album collecting dust in the garage.  That's like The J Geils band.  They had already been around forever before they went mainstream with "Centerfold" and the rest of that album.  I love there early bluesy stuff.
Mettalica - wow, you guys realy know how to rock!  My ears can't handle grinding riffs like that anymore, lol.  Btw, did you know that Joe Satriani taught James Hetfield (singer/rhythym guitar) how to play?

That is so cool that you are considering a Hybrid/Toy Hauler!   :)   How about this activity at the first rally after you get it -
We'll have a contest for the kids where you drop the ramp on the back of the rig and we let all the kids see how far they can jump their bikes into the living area.  First one to land in the front bunk wins a case of kazoo's.
Sound good?   :D

Kevin & Tania -
You guys went too soon to Disneyland last month!
You should have waited 2 weeks;

Kevin - I see you are also spreading the NNC cheer around over "there".  I've been working on those guys for at least 6 months.  Maybe the free food and drink offer will get them to stop by.   :D
See you next w/e!

Not exactly sure that's a ringing endorsement. Now if it were Kirk Hammett, that's something else. Did he teach him to sing too? Just kidding. I like Metallica. At least a lot of their older stuff. Don't know what happened to all those tapes.

I agree Brian.  If you watch Hetfield play he just speeds his way through chord progressions.  Joe also taught Greg Kihn (who I now hear is a dj in San Jose of all things) how to play.
Now an impressive student of Joe's is Steve Vai who although his music isn't as popular as Joe's just might be a tiny bit better as a player.  If you're not familiar with Steve then you might know him from the movie "Crossroads".
Nice to see you dropping in!  Hope the family (& bun) are well!

Wasn't Steve Vai the guitarist for Billy Idol or something like that?

Neff and all:

I went to a party the other night and met a guy who is one of the organizers of a growing music phenomenon in the Bay Area.  It's called Two Day Town, a Lollapalooza type of gathering where from Friday thru Sunday, bands of all genres come to Del Valle (NNC site of the 2002 Halloween Rally) near Livermore and hold a all weekend concert.

He was looking for volunteers, people to work the show.  The event is a grassroots movement and it has not yet received widespread publicity, thus, at this point, only a small group of folks come to enjoy the festivities.

Here's a link I found of the event 2 years ago.  http://www.eastbaymusicscene.com/t_z/2day02.html

I was interested in attending this.  You can camp at the site and the overhead is covered.  If any of you are interested in attending this, let me know and I can set you up.  This year, the event is on the last weekend of April, Friday the 24th thru Sunday the 26th.

If we get a small group going, it could be one of the most unique rallies ever and also an annual ritual.

It was either David Lee Roth or Whitesnake from where I remember him.

Hoosierpop

Steve Vai played with David Lee Roth for 4 years and then Whitesnake in 1990 (big-hair band). Before that he even played with Frank Zappa in the early 80s.

Wow this is like the thread that won't die, started about a year ago... that must be some type of record in somebody's book.

Well just wanted to poke my face in and say howdy.

We added a new family member to our family yesterday.  Nope didn't involve a third child and it most certainly did not mean getting a new tow rig, heck we up to 3 cars now thats enough for 2 drivers I think.

Yes the third member is a 11 month old  Border Collie named Charlie, though we're trying to get the kids to agree to a name change.  Doesn't seem fair for the dog to be the only non "S" name in the family.  When we say the pup we quickly thought of Sacto and all of you.  I hope the camping is going well for everyone, our first trip planned is May 5th, but we're hopnig to ge out as soon as the weather will allow.

Not sure if this link will work or not but here goes:

Take care and keep camping

No No No, not til it's been to a few rallies.

Some clown at one of the dealerships said to zip up the screens in the back, lower the ramp and use the screens for driving practice or to play wiffle ball against.  GOSH, wonder why we aren't buying from there.

So my signature is changed, we went and looked, signed and are awaiting delivery.  Must rush to get this other lovely trailer out of the driveway prior to pick up. New one has lots of the goodies, all option packages and tons more room.  We did make sure to stay with the hybrid model (hard side too heavy), and that extra front bed sure makes a difference in space.

To all HA HA Sisters-this trailer has a HUGE living room/cargo area and can we have some awesome flashlight campfires in there, with the ducted heat blowing gently to warm us, and the blender whirling in the background to stir the drinks.  Party at my site at Olema.

Congratulations on the new Hybrid!!!
I can't wait to have my first drink sitting inside of it!

Btw, "there" is this;

Although since you are a Hybrid'er you would want "their" sister site;

(you'll see many familiar faces at both sites)

We can make that into a smoke filled gambling casino, with a jukebox and a full bar.  Thank Rojana.
