Brandon is on his way to go set up the pop-up.  Me and the girls are going to stay here in the a/c house while he does that!  Then, he is going to come and pick us up.  I do not do well with heat...did not grow up with it...so so not used to it!

See you all then!

Lori...great idea on O'Neill!  The trip did start a little shakey for us Boothes (mostly me)...but it quickly changed and we all had a wonderful time!

And, we thoroughly enjoyed our late lunch at Souplantation!  Then, we came home and passed out (with stuffed salad bellies).

Once I have a bit more energy, I am going to try to figure out how to upload/download my pics from the trip.  :-)

Take care, all!

We certainly enjoyed another fun rally with the ScCampers and we are happy that Sadie is now officially a camping canine.

As usual the kids really enjoyed hanging out with the other kids and making new friends.

Thanks to:
griffsmom for the fun tie dye project--both of our kids are wearing them today.

griffsdad for teaching us some new poker games.

dee4j aka glowstick lady for supplying the goods (and tolerating dh during "Apples to Apples"!)

everyone for all the fabulous potluck contributions!  Boy are campers great cooks or what?

the darksiders for letting us camp in the shady campsite (hee hee!)

I can't believe that I didn't take any photos on this trip so I'm looking forward to seeing everyone else's.  I should have taken a picture of the giant turkey that was cruising through our campsite on Sunday morning..it was quite a sight.

See you in Temecula and Campland!

TheViking

It is 20 miles West of Mojave, Ca. just outside the town of Tehachapi Ca.. I think their website sheds a little more light on it. They list their address so you can use Yahoo maps to zero in on it. Do Not Use Mapquest !! Take it from me it will not get you there. Here is the link: http://www.indianhillranch.com/frameindex.htm

The three boys (Edwin, Brian, and I) sans mom certainly had fun.
Thanks to everyone around us for giving us a hand when we needed one
and those great potluck meals.
(You don't know what sort of motivator those potlucks are, I did think
about bailing on this trip a few times when it was clear I'd be without
anyone else to keep an eye on the kids. The idea of minimal cooking
and still getting something good to eat sure tilted things in favor of going.)

I only took a picture of the boys eating their mac and cheese on the
first night. Pretty much forgot about the camera after that. Any pictures
of us would be appreciated. If it's on film, I'll pay for reprints and postage.

Mom did take her test on Monday, and did spend the weekend studying and sleeping. She won't speculate on how she did on the test. I think she
was surprised that I looked relatively rested and we even made some
cool T-shirts thanks to all of you.

I'm not sure what our next campout will be, San Diego in August
is one I'd like to coax Reiko into, but there is this itty bitty spacecraft
named MRO set to launch about then too.

Thanks everyone,
Carl

Chez Way

Hey Carl,

Good to hear from you and I see you have now officially joined PUT.  I'm glad you and the boys enjoyed your weekend and that you got some rest.  We'll keep our fingers crossed for Reiko.

See you at the campfire!
