Thanks Jacqui.  Yes, there were a lot of adorable dogs (we really liked the Aussies) but dh was set on a Lab.

I'm sure Sadie will enjoy hanging out with Riley!

Don't forget that if you want to tie-dye a t-shirt, let me know if you haven't already.  You'll need to bring your own shirt.  :)

We like Aussies too.  In fact while we were at Pismo we had to go to the pet shop for something and there was this adorable Aussie puppy for sale.  We were so close to getting it.  They only wanted $350 for it.  Unfortunately, we wanted a female and it was a little boy.  I went back twice and looked at the Aussie Mix up for adoption at the place you got Sadie.  Sigh!!  It is just too far away.

We spent a lot of time with the female Aussie "Farrah".   She and her brother "Hamilton" had a very rough first 6 months.  They were basically chained to their backyard fence all the time and never let in the house.  They both were put under to be groomed and immunized.  I'm hoping that they will each find a good home.

Hi there guys.  We are looking forward to camping this weekend.  We will be bringing MIL who doesn't get to go camping except when we take her.  We will bring a chessy, cornflake hashbrown bake for breakfast & for dinner a 4 pasta beef bake (a different version of a lasagne).  I was going to make the above in the crockpot until dh reminded me that we won't have electric.  I guess the oven it is.

See you in a couple days.

mmmmmm sounds yummy its all about the cheese :D

OMG..I just realized no electric means no A/C :yikes:  I may actually have to unzip my bunkends...but if it's too hot (especially for mom) I see a generator being borrowed so we can cool off :J

Lori...I think I told you my girls would want to tie-dye, right?

And, I think we'll make some scrambled egg dish for the breakfast...

Yu'all have a great weekend. Your assignment for the weekend is to figure out how early you can make it to the rest stop at the top of the grapevine (Lebec) for the Half Dome Hi-Jinx. I can be there almost any time. With hot weather in the valley, early is good. Now make sure Lori stays steady with those margarita's that Dave makes. They're yummy.

Have lots of fun.

Hello all...

Ok, us Flinders have a small change of plans. Yes, we are still planning on joining you for some camping here at oneill. But, no, we will not be able to participate in the potluck Saturday night.

Rancho Santa Margarita is having a free summer concert in town and the band is doing a tribute to the Eagles. Kyle, our oldest has been practicing nothing but Eagles on his guitar for weeks, so he really wants to go. So, we have to bail on the evening potluck.

As for no hookups, no electricity and the fact that it will be about 100 degrees  :S  the four of us will be going to our pool (one of the pools, not the lagoon) for the day on Saturday. We can bring 5 guests in with us, so if anyone wants to fight for a trip to the pool let me know who wins  :sombraro:

The pool is about a 10 minute drive from the camp ground.

For the breakfast potluck I think we are making scrambled eggs with ham. It always gets eaten up fast.

BootheBunch

Oh...I love the free concerts...especially that one!  And, since the Flinders will do eggs, we'll do something else...maybe fruit.  :-)

Yah...I already told Brandon I may come home to cook the dinner for the potluck...it has to bake in the oven for an hour.  It will be sooo hot in that tent trailer!  Yikes!  Brandon was thinking of trying to bring our little cheap kiddie pool to fill up...just so the kids could cool off a little bit....
