I hate to break it to ya, sistuh, but we're already in over our heads! :D ;)
SSHHHHHH!!  I am trying to ignore it (I have my hands over my ears and my eyes closed right now):)   I have bigger fish to fry.  I have a 12 year old daughter who is so hormonal right now.  I am ready to strangle her.  Matt has to stay my "little angel" a little while longer.  One problem at a time:D .  How is Griffy feeling?  I hope he is feeling better.

Lori, whatdaya think about trying to camp at San Clemente or San Mateo with us?  I was thinking the weekend before Christmas?  Or is that too close to Ccachuma.  I think this is the only free weekend we have.  (how sad is that?):(

Quote from: g-whizI'll just tell him to turn left as we leave the campground.  That way he'll turn right since he knows I'm directionless and always say the opposite of what I mean.

Oh, thank you Georgeanne!  I knewI couldn't be the only one who does this!  Paul gets so frustrated at me.  We took a nice detour in Sacramento on the way to Tahoe because I said West when I pointed East, so Paul took the verbal directions.  The kids enjoyed reminding me of that one.  I got us lost one more time on the way.  But we finally got there!

Guess what?  I called Emily's team mom Friday about 5 PM to ask when our first game was on Saturday.  She said there's no game Saturday.  So I innocently asked, "Oh, we don't play till Sunday?"  Her response was, "The tournament's not htis weekend, it's next weekend."  AAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHH.  She found out at noon when she called the coach to find out what game times were.  He told me it's this weekend!  I told him we were planning to go out of town and I was going to have to cancel it, so I needed to know for sure.  He confirmed it was this weekend!  I'm going to kill him at practice Monday.  Emily wanted to pack up and leave immediately to go camping!  We could have come.  I hate when other people mess up my plans!!!!!!  That's what I get for trying to be the cooperative soccer mom and have my kid there for the game.

It's cold and windy here.  We had sprinkles earlier.  I hope you guys are having great weather.

Whoops!  That was me above.  Forgot to log in.  I hate when the system mysteriously logs me out from one visit to another.

Well, now that I've gotten Trina's news  out of my system, just wanted to thank everyone for joining us and making it a successful rally.  It was nice to meet the newcomers, and we hope to see you at future rallies with us!  Please stay posted to these boards for news of upcoming rallies.  I'll e-mail you too just in case.

Plenty of food at both potlucks, and Dee4j had the big, communal firepit that was the gathering spot on both nights.  Fewest number of dogs I've seen at a rally: only five.  And I think g-whiz may have told her funniest story yet, proving once again why she is the founder of the Ha-Has!

Unfortunately, it rained on Saturday evening.  Fortunately, it started right after (literally felt the first drop as the final group picture was being taken!) the photo session, and lightened up/stopped in time for actual chow time.  It rained at the Temecula rally in May, didn't it?  It sure did at the April one at SLO.  Is this a new SCCamper curse?

Not only were there four of us Venturans this time instead of the usual two, but with Moose and SimiRich, six out of 10 were from Ventura County.  We're usually overwhelmingly outnumbered!  Hence, Mike said we'll have to form our own County chapter of SCC: VCTTPUP (Ventura County Travel Trailer Pop Up People). :D

The only drawback to our setup was the long, uphill trek to the bathroom.  It was either that or wait till February for Alder (which is perfect for us) to become available, so we decided to go with Cedar in November.

If you want to do Far West again and are willing to wait for Alder, just say the word and I'll book it!  Bye for now, I'm off to find us a new washing machine.  Argh!

We are home also...have to love the rallies with 25 minute travel times.  Amazingly, with four Ventura families, we were out-of-the-running for Nearest Traveled honors...taking 4th place.

After such a relaxing weekend, we are sitting down, waiting for our Yoli's Buffet Lunch to settle, then going to take a nap. That way, I'll be all set to make my photos "web ready" so Georgeanne can post them at WebShots.  If you have any particular photos you would like in original format, e-mail me and I'll send them to you, either by e-mail or mail depending on how many mg they are.

Had a great time.  It was so nice to see so many new faces.

Hey Scott, nice signature line.  It looks great.  See Georgeanne, we just needed to gang up on him a little.  We LOVE you Scott!!.

Thank you everyone for your hospitality on Saturday.  I am so happy that the kids and I came.  Chris had so much fun with the kids.  Kendra had a nice time chatting with Georgeanne.  We'll  see Georgeanne if she turns in her assignments.  If she doesn't I am gonna send her to you for another round of Dr. G-Whiz.:D .

Tricia, we are ready to go back.  I told Randy how nice it was and he is ready to go.  February sound great

Just wanted to say, thank you all for being the nicest and fun bunch of happy campers.  Corey and I are simply happy to have camped with such a great bunch.

See ya's at the next outing.

You know me... don't need to ask!  Please send the group shots over (I'm almost certain our e-mail system can handle ginormous files), along with any others of us Watlings you may have taken.  Thanks!

Dave, were your ears burning?  Sitting around last night's fire, G was telling everyone how great your "albacore" is. :p   And yes, I told all the newcomers about the big Pismo rally next June.  If they thought this was a lot of people/food, they ain't seen nuthin' yet!

Oh, for the folks who missed the rally, um, er, um... it was actually horrible.  Rained the entire time, flooded us out, there was not enough food, everyone was grumpy and unsociable, the kids fought constantly, and the dogs attacked each other.  You didn't miss a thing.  Uh, yeah, that's what happened.  Yup, didn't miss a thing.

 :p

Dave--I think you got your SoCal confused with SoLou or SoTenn.

But thanks for the welcome home.

For anyone who wants the group photos from the Santa Paula Rally, here are the links and you can download them as you choose.  The small ones are 400 x 600 resolution and about 125 kb.  The larger ones are about 500 kb in 2048 x 1360 resolution.

I hear G-Whiz typing away frantically on her computer, so I am certain that she'll have the pictures posted on WebShots shortly.

Wow Scott! What an awesome camera. Those are great pictures.

We had a great time hangin' with everybody. Nice to meet some new faces and always fun with the old faces (not age  ). Great to see Jacqui and her kids. Missed you Randy & Maze's! Hope Griffy is better :) .

Highlight for us - "Mar-ga-G-tas". Georgeanne sure filled the margarita shoes left vacant (unfortunately) by Dave. Wow and the stories were incredible :D .
Yah so it rained. We're wondering if the SimiRich crew is the rain jinx. Why do we get rained on at almost every Pop-Up-Times rally!? Oh well, can't stop us from coming :) .

I posted pictures at webshots. Just click the link in my signature.

Looking forward to Ccachuma!

Rich,

Great photos yourself.  Nice job being in the right place at the right time.  It's tough to get good photos when it gets dark so early.  Good job.

I swear, we have to start renting ourselves out to drought-ravaged lands. "Sponsor a SCCamper Rally---you'll get rain."  How about SCCampers in Spain?  Anyone interested???

Thanks to all for a really great weekend,  We enjoyed meeting new people
and seeing some from our last trip.  We're all looking forward to our new
outing.

The kids really had a good time,  Matthew kept repeating "we go camping, we go camping".
