Another great rally. Paula was bummed that she felt crummy and spent most of the time in the popup. It was great to have the new faces with the old. The other bummer was that as soon as Paula got home she had to go to work Hope March is dry.

What a great weekend.  Sure was fun meeting new people and sharing a wonderful time.  Ventura County is now properly represented.  I've posted Scott's photos on Webshots and you can get there by clicking the link below my signature.  Let me know if I need to change anything.

Thank you Patricia for your willingness to Wagonmaster this rally.  I'd say it was a huge success.  Can't wait for next month!

See you in Cachuma everybody.

Camping Coxes

Quote from: CottonwooderOh, for the folks who missed the rally, um, er, um... it was actually horrible. Rained the entire time, flooded us out, there was not enough food, everyone was grumpy and unsociable, the kids fought constantly, and the dogs attacked each other. You didn't miss a thing. Uh, yeah, that's what happened. Yup, didn't miss a thing.
:p
Oh, good.  So going car shopping (worse than a root canal and I didn't even get a new car after all) and cleaning my house so my MIL could come over for dinner was better than camping with you guys?  Glad I didn't miss anything -- like margaritas Scott style, great company and lots of great food.  I'm still sulking.

And worse yet, since I'm keeping my van and not getting a new car, we can't camp Thanksgiving weekend (my consolation prize for this weekend) because my BIL can only help Paul fix my van that weekend.  But it's going to save us a bundle, so I have to go along with it.  Man, life's just unfair.

Glad everyone had a wonderful time and as much as I hate to say it, I'm actually glad we ended up not going. The rain would not have been good for Griffy and his pneumonia.

But don't think we didn't think about it...Griffin was starting to return to his old self (read: buzzsawing tazmania devil) Friday afternoon and Dave and I toyed with quickly packing up and just going anyway. But then what had started as a beautifully sunny day here in OC started to cloud up and we thought that the last thing our little guy needed was to be out in the damp. So we bit the buillet and just stayed home--good thing since it rained off and on Saturday day and night. We were with you in spriit, though, as Saturday night's dinner was completely out of DOs.:D

Hi Gang,
Patty here of Team McWaters - John and I had a great time this weekend.  My man is such a social butterfly that every time I turned around he was gone off chatting at another campsite.  Our kids, Brett and Sierra thought the whole thing was awesome.  Brett especially bonded with SimiRich's boys, Luke and Nick (nice boys!).  We're going to do our best to be at the Cachuma rally.  Thanks to all of you for being so welcoming and cordial - not to mention being great cooks!  It really is all about the food (and drink, huh Georgeann!).  I aspire be such a good cook someday!

I'm glad the newbies had a great time.  They just added so much to the group, I can't wait to camp with them again.  Old friends and new friends...it's what makes the world go round.

Yes I got the buck. WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.
I almost had to call ya and have you tell the guy it was toast.  I am still in camping mode and wish we were all still there. My wife said that we came home with the biggest smiles.

I will always be your knight in late night fires. You ROCK as well.

Cottonwooder

Well hey, care to share this story about a dollar?  And what's this about a knight by the fire?  :::::settling around cyber campfire:::::

If you're still smiling, we'll have to continue this.  Where and when?

Welllllllll,  The buck thing was a bet with a guy from work. I brought some firewood as well as a large stump.  A guy from work saw the large piece, and said it wouldn't burn completly away.  ding ding ding,  he lost. Dee and I made sure it was a goner basicly the 1st night.

The knight thing is wellllll, ummmmmmmmmmm, heck,  i dunno.  Just made something up to make a giggle.   heheheheheh,  U giggled.

Moose once made some lime thingies that were pretty awesome!

I haven't broken it yet to Dave that his status as official SCC magarita maker has been severely thrown into question at Santa Paula.  Maybe we'll have to have a margarita-off at Ccacchuma...:D
