Kim- I think there are a few spaces left in the adjacent loop. We already have two families from our group camping there, in sites 1 and 3, so you may be able to join in. I think the number to call is on the first page of this thread. Let us know if you reserve a spot!

I made reservations today and got the last spot available.  The good news is that we're there and the bad is that we're in the nose bleed section (space #9).  The only other spot available is #8 and occomodates multiple campers.

I've got the camping bug.

See you soon.

Kim, glad you were able to snag the spot. See you in March.

Any plans for potlucks yet?

Maybe we should do an informal one this time - you know - no signups, just bring a dish........

BTW--G-Whiz and I are now grandparents for the fifth time as our oldest daughter had a healthy baby girl yesterday.  Welcome Ciara (pronounce Sierra) into the world.

OC Campers

What a turnout for a rally.  Almost as many people as the Temecula rally.
If they had had more sites available we could of beaten it.

Congratulations grandma and grandpa.  Another beautiful baby brought
into our world to love and cherish.  I know Georgeanne can't get there
fast enough to hold her.

Yes this matches what I have down. This will be a nice get together. Let's do an informal potluck on Saturday night. If you want to participate, bring a big dish of something tasty! How's that for organization?

Unfortunately, this will be our next camping trip.  Too busy to schedule another one before then.

Scott & "G", congratulations on the new arrival. We are very much looking forward to March. We are going camping to Joshua Tree weekend after this one. It's dry camping and I expect it will be chilly this time of the year. With our youngest getting married in June, there goes our long term camping plans. Just weekend's this year. With the house in the Sierra's, we also have work weekends, like this one. After cutting down 8 very large trees over Thanksgiving, I now have to cut them to fit the wood stove. May have light snow and high's in the 30's to 40's. Good day for working hard.

All our best to all.

I have finally come to a point where I can commit to but of course there are no sites left on the RV side of the park.  I called the park office and the girl there was quite nice but not very helpful in describing the park.  She says there are dry spots available but they are "on the other side of the park."  She was not able to quantify what that meant.  Living next to Joshua Tree, "the other side of the park" is 40 miles away!  Is there a map for the campground posted any where?  I didn't see it on the SB County website.

If anyone has to cancel let me know.

I called the campground today checking to see if there were any cancellations since I reserved my campsite a month ago in the nosebleed section and found that there's a waiting list.   Have you put your name on that.  If a space comes available the people on the waiting list will get 1st dibbies on it.

Thanks

OOps! I forgot to mention; the dry spots they mentioned were in the tent section and there are still spots available there.  I wouldn't reserve there because it is on the other side of the park from the rest of the group.

Thanks

You know, the "other side."  You don't want to be there.
