We're in.  We agree on at LEAST electric, but full hookups would just spoil us.  Pine Grove is parking lotty, but it is centrally located.  Plus, we've had your birthday there before.  lol

DiW

I'd love to make this one. Electric sounds good to me, too. Let me talk to Chris and the kids and see what I can work out.

The Poconos are not really between us. :D  They are north of you and east of me.

SheBantam

Depends on how I/we come...If we come up the NE Extension, then they are between you and us easterners...
Anything around Allentown or Jim Thorpe????

Unfortunately I am not going to be there for this one.  My daughter has final rehersal for the tinkerbell part she is playing in the dance troupe.  Sorry.

Does anyone know of, I think there is one, a private campground in the Pocono's that has an indoor swimming pool?

Otter Lake has an indoor pool, as well as an outdoor one, tennis courts, bball courts, racquetball courts, and maybe shuffleboard? There's a lake for fishing and usually activities throughout the day (like ceramics & ball games on the field). I've heard mgt can be cranky but we didn't have any problems (and we had 4 kids with us). If I remember correctly, mgt yelled at some kids that were disruptive (like riding bikes on the deck near the ceramic class & again later when they were riding bikes in the dark, etc). The guy expected kids to listen to him and do as he asked - imagine that  ;) All in all we had a good time there.

This place is near Marshall's Creek (just a bit north of Route 80). w/e/c sites are about $33/night, with sewer a few $ more - but I think this only includes 2 people and they charge extra per person after that (around $3-4 per kid). I'm pretty sure they give a discount to camping groups. Typical private cg in that sites are somewhat close (by our standards, Tracy  ;) . Most are wooded if I remember. Some drive throughs are like parking lots. Some nice lakefront (extra $ I think) sites. We stayed in the H loop which is usually for groups (about 10 sites) with its own bathhouse. I would stay there again. Was next to tennis and near indoor pool. I think Andy has been there also. He may have a different take on it - he camped in the snow (crazy guy  :eyecrazy: ).

You're right Diane ,I'm crazy, but it takes all kind to make a world,he,he.
I camped there in late fall, several years back, with my Boy Scouts
and used the indoor pool, which was nice.
They also have an arcade there and all kinds off other activities.
Somehow I remember it to be a little unfriendly there, but it could not have been to bad since I went back there with the Pop Up in the middle of the winter.
What I remember besides the ice, snow and rain that weekend is the noise of all the snowmobiles for most of the night, since the lake was frozen.
No chance of that in April,I hope.

ANdy, Courtney is a bit crazy too. She left here yesterday and we haven't seen her since. Did get a text saying she went "polar bearing" in Mountain Lakes with a bunch of guys and their dads (she and her best friend were the only crazy girls to take a swim). She then texted from her friend's hot tub.  No other word yet... Trying to remember those crazy college days...

Tracy, I'd go back to Otter Lake - or somewhere like it if someone has another place in mind.
