Put us down for Cheesy scrambled eggs and Fried homestyle potatoes.  We will wait to see what everyone decides to do for dinner. We're easy.

E=DK&3kids]Zach is already salivating over the donuts Laura!!! For his birthday, I have to buy 2 dozen doughnuts and make a donut cake - he LOVES them!

Here's my 2 cents about potlucks. We are definitely going to participate for breakfast. My kids are counting on time at the beach and I don't want the stress of being back at a certain time and having to prepare food, yada, yada. So, we will do breakfast only.

BUT...Dee you gave me an idea - we could do an after dinner drink/dessert potluck. Drinks for us - sugar for the kids (and the kids at heart). Very casual.

As for the clubhouse - those of you that are early arrivals are going to check in to it right? We're easy either way...I see pros and cons to using it if it's available.

Finally, for those that want to go to the beach, if we don't get there on the earlier side, we won't get parking...we'll (Dan and I) probably head out by 10AMish.[/QUOTE]

Is everyone planning on going to the beach on Saturday??

Dee said that she was and when I had talked with Lisa weeks ago, she thought they would try to spend time @ the beach in addition to campfire.

That would be a maybe for us.

If I go to the beach it will have to be farther south, so Brandy can go, too.  Frankly, the only one I know about is in Solana Beach, or clear down in Ocean Beach.  Wouldn't mind going to either, since I LOVE to get out and just go -- gas prices be darned!  But I'm just as happy sticking around the campsite.  My mind's going to be mush by then, with only 2 weeks of school left after the trip.  Might just sleep the whole weekend ...

Maybe because you don't like salt water or maybe because you'll be having too much fun organizing a new hybrid???:Z

The fact that dogs are not allowed on most SoCal beaches just burns me up!!!!  When we travel in OR or WA, we can take the doggies anywhere!

I'm done June 15 w/school - sounds like you're about the same.  I've had the same kids for 2 years so I'm going to boohoo over them - BUT not over the end of the year!

Lori here, under Dave's screen name--I'm too lazy to log out and in again. :o

No trip to see hybrids today. Griffin had a t-ball game at 11:00, and when it finished, we came home and called Discount RVs in Beaumont to make sure they still had the Roo 23SS. Sadly, its new owners took it home about 45 minutes before I called, and they don't have plans to order more Roos anytime soon. Apparently, they can't order single trailers for their lots--they have to order them in batches and then it takes about 8 weeks for the factory to make it.

Tracey, the saleman I spoke with, said he would talk to his manager and see if they could order us a 23SS, subject to our approval, so that if it came in and we didnt want it, we wouldn't be obligated to buy it and we wouldn't suffer any financial repercussions. (West Coast RV would require a non-refundable deposit before they'd order a 23SS for us to "look at.") Tracey said that he'll give me a call later this week. Of course, he tried his best to try to get me to come look at travel trailers. I just kept saying no thanks--we really like the hybrids.

Well, I miscounted here -- but NOT at school!  We have 29 days left (actual school days), which puts us out on the 23rd.  It's a long year, it seems.

While I haven't had these "darlings" for 2 years, I can't wait to get rid of about 6 of them.  Nothing but trouble this year.  One thought he'd stop traffic by throwing his backpack into the middle of a 4-lane road.  Another got caught chucking rocks at the next-door-neighbor-doctor's office (and there's probably more from my room that didn't get caught).  Oh, and then there's the one that was "transferred" to our school from another for bringing a cap gun to school.  Hasn't done that again, but he might as well have -- he's such a pain!  It's been like this all year.

Summer can't come fast enough this year!

What grade do you teach?

Fifth.  At our school, they're the oldest, and they think they're hot stuff.  I can hardly wait for some of them to get to middle school & get their clocks cleaned!  Not to hijack this thread or anything ... but I have NO tolerance for parents who think their kid's poop doesn't smell & blame everyone else for little Johnny's problems.  Grrrr ...

I promise I'll be nice to the kids who are with us.  My attitude is pretty well localized to the lunchroom at school. :swear:

Boy! I bet that felt good!!! Rant all you want!!! Don't keep it in. Hopefully these  young hooligans will go out for football. (not flag) I can't tell you how many times I got my "clocked cleaned" during practice or a game. (Though sometimes I was doin' the cleanin')

Let it all out sistah!!!!

Azusateach

Ahhhh ... it DID feel good!  We're going hiking tomorrow (for a field trip), and hopefully we'll have a good time.  Fortunately, the little twits that are a royal pain in the patutti won't be going.  They will have the "honor" of spending the day in another class doing work while we're out having a blast.  As Dee would say, "Neener, neener!".   :Z

How many more days?  18?  And that's counting weekends!

There's a reason I left the higher grades for primary years ago...THANKs for the reminder! ha!  It sounds like you deserve this breather BIG TIME!!!
