I bought one of those 6 ft folding tables they have at Target this week for $32 thought we could use it in the potluck site..that way one less heavy picnic table



O/T Talked to Kevin, he's having lots of fun in DC..I did get a call from one of the deligates informing me that a child showed up to the forum with Chicken Pox and letting me know of possible exposure. so let's hope he doesn't show up Easter with the chicken pox  :yikes:

actually the chances are slim, he's been exposed several times and has had the shot..

Are you guys coming in on Thursday Lisa?  Two more wake-ups would be Thursday.....right?  I thought you were coming on Friday.

We were going to show up on Friday....but, Bran has worked late hours recently...and I was worried he would work late on Friday and not get us there until dark--and I didn't want the girls to miss out on anything.  So, I figured if he works late on Thursday, and we show up at dark....nothing lost.  It is close enough to our home that he could work on Friday, if needed.  Of course, he just found out yesterday he has Friday off....

What time are you guys showing up on Friday, Brian?

Ya-Hoo...that is good news!!!

And, I have cancelled on my family for Easter Dinner....so now we will be around the whole day/night on Sunday. It was going to be too rushed/stressful for us.  

So, next Wed. we are going to go up and spend a couple of days (vs only a couple of hours on Easter) with my family...and see my grandma.  She's not feeling too well....keep her in your prayers.  Her legs are swollen, her hands hurt...and they can't give her much painkillers/anti-inflammatories because of her age (she is 94 and 1/2).  They think she has nerve damage from her age...again, they are not sure.  They have been giving her cortisone shots in her hands to relieve the pain.  She is really down, depressed....and I am worried about her.

I just said it to him....he says he knows.  Good luck!  It's always best to keep him in the dark, too.  We took a home equity loan out years ago to buy the pop-up--he knew NOT to tell my dad (he'd get mad)--well, last year, he was sitting with my whole family, spilling out about it.  My mouth dropped open...my dad turned toward me...thank goodness it was a couple of years after the fact, and we had already paid back the loan....but, my dad still talks about it--just last week, in fact--about how Bran can't keep a secret.  

We will just have to remind him everyday.  

One more wake-up for some of us!!!  I have so much to do today to get ready!!  I am a bit stressed out about it! Yikes!

I woke up and Kara had the number of hours she has left in school before she goes  :screwy:  I'm picking her up at he lunch time tomorrow

Two of the grandkids, christian will be flying back to his deadbeet Dad's in Mariland for the week, I don't want him to go but he wants to and his Mom wants him to go...So we will have two kids and maybe their parents, never know for sure with Heather.

Ok now that I have got all the food for Dan's B-day party. I KNOW I will be needing some help.

I'm saying this out loud so someone (like Freedom 5 ) will have my back and let me know what I'm missing

Brian has offered to be grillmaster...Rest up Brian... I have 26.5 LBS of carrrrrne asada. :yikes:

I have also purchased the yummy uncooked tortillas. I know Brian has some tortilla pans and offered to do those too but with all that meat to BBq he may need help.

I'm putting everything in throw away silver trays except the refried beans I'll do in the crockpot and the pinto beans I'll have to do in a regular pot since I have only one crock pot. Rice will be made just needs heating
I have  fresh tomatoes , cilantro and onions will need to be chopped. I cheated and got the bagged shredded lettuce and shredded cabbage, & cheese

Brandon is making Salsa and the Browen family is bringing chips and some Salsa

I also have sour cream and guacamole


Brian & Kristi are getting the cake at Costco for me
