My parents (cb) went to Austria for a couple weeks and left their spot to me (I am their son).  Unfortunately, for a number of reasons, we will not be able to attend.

Please feel free to open our spot in the overflow site to someone else.

Being that our rally is shrinking by the day, how much additional do we do we need to give you?

Is it something I said?  I think some serious marketing is in order.  This camp site is prime Southern California blufftop real estate.  You couldn't buy a similar spot for less than ten million bucks.

I guess with the amount of people going, we'll have room to put up our awnings. Are we allowed to have a fire? Do you want us to bring our fire pit? Who wants to bring wood? We'll have to make smores, Sarah is now a Smore fiend.

I've been trying to recruit people but they aren't interested in our beach get-away.

We can bring fire wood also...I am wondering how early on Friday we can check in?  I also like the idea of a potluck dinner and breakfast. 6:oo and 9:00 works good for us.

We'll bring our firepit and a bundle of wood.  Does anyone else want to bring some wood?

it means 6:00 p.m. for dinner! Just thought to add a little graffics in my posting.

It was really a typo which I am known for doing now and again.

Should we bring tables to eat at?  I noticed that there are picinic tables available on the bluff.  Would we be using them for our potluck?

There is A LOT of room at that site.  I stopped by yesterday to check out the site and talk to the rangers.  Here's the scoop:

-Main parking area is roughly 70' square, with at least 5' beyond the edges available for bunks and bumpers to overhang.

-Secondary parking area is about 30' x 50'.  Definitely enough room for a big hybrid or two.

-Four paved, lined parking spaces for tow vehicles or extra cars.

-The gate does not close at night so Richard should be able to come after work (but please not if he's too tired!)

-Twenty "vehicles" are included with the group site.  I presume that trailers don't count.  When you arrive just tell them that you're with James White in the Group Campsite.  Follow the signs to the group site.

-Large fire ring at the site surrounded by benches.  Thanks for the offers to bring wood.  I'll be happy to chip in if you had to pay for it.  You all know how much the campground wood co$$$ts.

-I didn't count the picnic tables yesterday but I assume there are several- the site is rated for 50 people.

-Unless we get a bunch more families there will be plenty of space for awnings.

-I forgot to ask yesterday but from past experience if you arrive before 2:00 PM AND the previous camper for the site dropped off their campsite tag you can check in around noon.  I THINK they'll let you go to the day-use area without charge but don't know for sure.  After the noon checkout on Sunday you can move the vehicle over to the day-use area and stay until dusk.

Weather is perfect on the coast.  I've been skindiving a bunch lately and the water close to the beach at Laguna and Crystal Cove has been 70 degrees this week (that's warm for us).  It does drop right down to 60 or so once you get away from the surface.

Sound good.   We are looking forward for this weekend.  See you all there.
