Put us down - 3 adults and 1 child. Thanks.

Are we too late?  We're more than willing to park the TV elsewhere.  2 A, 2-3 grandkids.

Quote from: BootheBunchOooh, dry camping!  I have only dry camped once in the trailer...O'Neill...and I was miserable.  Dee and Lori probably remember me freaking out over the alarm in the trailer!!!  I thought we were going to die!!

HOWEVER, it is so close...I can always come home to soak up my comforts, if needed.  So, we are in!

2 adults and 2 children.

Lisa,

Get a spot next to us and you can plug into our (Quiet) generator if you need to. :D

We would be happy to park our TV in the parking lot, if it will make space for another camper. :D

Just check to make sure that we can park in the overflow lot, overnight.

Thanks, Wayne--you are sweet!  My hubby may borrow his dad's generator for the weekend...to help me get through the torture (or so I don't torture him with my whining).
 :D

Estone

Please put us down as a "maybe".  Can that be done?  We are definately interested, if it can work out, since it's so close.

Thanks.

OC Campers

I wish we lived 8 hours closer:D .  When we lived in Fountain Valley, we always wanted to put a rally together in this exact same spot.  What a view!

TheViking

Put us down for 2A 1C if there is room.

I guess I should have read a little more.  Put me down first on the waiting list.

Ack!  Here I was worrying that nobody liked camping in anything other than RV parks surrounded by cart driving crank addicts.

Let's figure out a way to fit 14 trailers in the site and put 8 tow vehicles in the overflow parking.  That means the rally is officially full.

I'd park in overflow if it would mean more people can go.

It looks like it's a park anywhere in the group site you can fit??? is there a trailer length limit? most of our Hybrid are 30+ feet

Dan always drives down seperate but If there isn't room for anymore in
overflow.. he can park at my Dad's in San Clemente

you said you are going to check it out and measure...by looking at the picture
it's going to be real tight to get that many trailers in. I was counting the cars in the picture. and they are parked pretty close, the "ONE  rv  does have his awning out but I think our awnings (hybrids) are 8-10 feet. with the kids bed and awning my trailer is 21 ft wide

most RV parks with tight sights like Campland, Pismo, newport dunes they are 40 ft long by 25 wide if that gives yo an idea how much space

Azusateach

My guess is that we might be able to get them all in, side-by-side, but nobody would be able to use their awning.  Those things are as wide as the trailer.  Umbrellas & E-Z Ups might have to do for this rally.

Okay, Dee's out.  Now there's room for 3 more 8' box popups or 4 more Chalets. :)

Seriously though...
I guess I was falling into the trap of thinking even a big popup was 25' long by 8' wide.  Parked in two rows in the roughly 70' long parking area we would only have 10' each.  Upon reflection I agree that's too tight.

I did note the 11th through 14th respondants as "overflow list".  In fairness to the first 10 respondants I guess we should call that the limit until I visit the site and talk to campground staff when I'm down there later this month.

IF we can park in the area between the tables and the bath house then that should allow room for the remaining 4 campers to park.

Sorry to CB, Estone, TheViking and Sue Hardee but I had better call 10 the limit for now.  I really hate to shut anyone out- especially since I didn't make it clear to begin with.  Feel free to  :compumad: me.

In my spare time I'll work on a parking layout.  If your profile doesn't list your trailer type please let me know how long and wide it is when fully erected.

In good ol' California tradition, we could build a platform over the edge of the cliff and park a camper or 2 on that. :p

Azusateach

OK, my new Shamrock 19 is probably 25-26' with the bunkends open.  BUT it's only 7.5' wide (if that matters ...).  Depending on whether a friend joins me might allow me to keep one bunkend closed up.  Hope this helps with the planning.
