Wilderness Getaway 9/21-9/23 self service rally

Darksiders, 58Air and Chez Way have booked a mountain getaway weekend at Dogwood Campground in the San Bernardino Mountains. We have campsite nos. 22-24 and there are more available. Hope to see you there.

We are in site #20 :-()  25 & 27 are still available. If we get those, we will be able to close in the wagon-train :p

We have a property in Running Springs that we need to check on about that time. This fits in perfectly for us and will be tax deductible :sombraro: .

We're bringing the kayak. I hope that we can put it in Arrowhead. Does anyone know about putting a kayak in Arrowhead and where to put it in?...if not, we'll have to go all the way to Big Bear.

We are glad you can join us!  Any reason why you wouldn't go to Lake Gregory with your kayak?  They rent paddle boards and boats there and it is only 15 minutes away.  Lake Gregory also has a cool water slide park.

I hope that we can get close enough. I noticed on their website that they are having a "Trout derby" whatever that is :confused: I know what a terniment is....never heard of a "Trout Derby" :p

This used to be a favorite of ours when we were tent campers.  The they decided to remodel it and then the fires took it out of commission for a few years.  Have a great time.

Ditto.  We used to go there almost every year when we were tent campers and we've been meaning to check it out again for awhile. I was surprised to find out that some of the sites have electric--didn't really care about that when we tent camped!

Lori and I had dinner with some of Lori's co-workers and they have a cabin up at Lake Gregory and they said that the drive is really easy - two lanes up and two lanes down. Lori may be up for this now.
