Can I kill him now???

As some of you know, we have a problem with cracking on our front storage lid.  With the winds we encountered coming home from Santa Paula in October, one of our latches completely ripped out of the body of the trailer, leaving a nice jagged hole.  Paul's been "working" on getting the garage cleaned out, and I'm trying to convince him we need to park the trailer in there to protect it from more water damage because of this.  We've been researching a way to try to fix it, but things don't happen real quickly around here.

A couple weeks ago when rain was predicted, I got out there before work and put a tarp over the front end, securing it with bricks.  It worked -- no rain inside.  It kept working, right up to the point that Paul got into the storage trunk to get something he needed and didn't put the $#%@^ tarp back on!!!!!  How frickin' hard is it to put a plastic tarp back on a trailer????  I did it, dressed up for work in heels!!!  (Cue that joke about Ginger Rogers doing everything Fred Astair did, but backwards and in heels)

So after working an all nighter in the rain on the tarmac at LAX last night, he comes out from bed this evening and informs me that he had taken the tarp off last weekend, and the trailer's probably full of water, and can David and I go out and put it back on before we get more rain tonight?  :swear: :banghead: :swear: I think I may have to commit husbandacide!!!!

On the plus side, David commented loudly that he thinks the trailer will be so damaged at this point, we'll have to go ahead and buy a new one.  I finally have gotten David on my side, so now it's us three against Paul!!!!

In Paul's defense....he is male.  He can't help it.  It is a frustrating condition to deal with, especially for us with the condition of superior females.

I also recently read that a male's language processing and memory begins deteriorating at age 30....whereas a female's language does not start deteriorating until sometime after 50.  This means when a male says he doesn't remember us asking him to do something...he really doesn't....because he is a male with deteriorating language!  I have explained this to Bran, that I can't get mad at him anymore for his forgetfulness...it is just because his mind is getting old more rapidly than mine.  I feel bad for him.

As a result of this, I am surprised Viking can even remember his name...being an old grampie like he is soon to be!

Hope you get that new trailer now!  Just tell Paul he promised....and that he must not remember saying it as a result of his male condition.

Oh, you're good. Poor Brandon -- he doesn't stand a chance.

Last time Paul went out of town, he came home to a new four legged furry thing yapping at him as he entered his own home. He complained, still calls her ugly (she is), but he plays with her and has accepted her. Wonder if that would work for a new trailer. Think he'd notice it in the driveway? He does go out of town a lot, so I'd have lots of opportunities. :p

You clearly should have expected it.....It's YOUR fault... :swear:

Whenever you broads are done Man-Bashing in this thread,

Brian, you better run fast cause you are in a heckalotta trouble now.   I can't wait till the ViQueen reads this one.

Trina, one of our latches broke off too (a couple years ago).  Randy used some sort of bondo stuff to fix the damage.  It doesn't look pretty but it is fixed.  We need a new front trunk but between the trunk and the lid is will cost $1200.  NOT HAPPENING!!

Good luck on the new trailer.  Like us, you have a kid knocking on the "college" door.   Dollars will be flowing freely out of your checkbook soon.:(

Ah, I have been enjoying this thread.... :-()

But, Brian...you must be misunderstanding...we females aren't man-bashing...we are sympathizing with you males--your plight of losing your mind from aging!  And, some of you are losing it more quickly than others, Gramps!

Trina, don't know what you'd be looking at in a new trailer, but my dealer is retiring & closing his business.  He's got at least 1 toyhauler in stock ...  Here's his website:

Holiday RV

The Shamrock 17 is already sold.
